All right, I’m in the sewers – now what?
I have been able to take the cap off the barrel. There is a screw inside but cannot reach it.

Try to climb the pipe, click the rings on it from lowest to highest, you will obtain Show

After that i’m stuck.
You can move the magnet along the side of the barrel. I got it past the first ring but can’t get it past the second. I don’t like all the work. I should have been done by now…… O’well…

Finally… Got it to the top and got the green screw….
Got it! Now figuring what to do with the screw.
Wait, mine is purple! Does that mean i have to do this again to get more screws from that barrel?
AAHHHHHHHH… hit an ad by mistake and had to start over…. Got a Gold screw out of the barrel this time.
:( Well, you made it again, didn’t you? Maybe there are few screws and they all go to the top of the pipe, to that red dot on the ring.

The frustration rate of this game is so high, it’s hardly worth the headache.

Paskapet is definitely getting more annoying and less enjoyable as he goes along. A hint to game designers: pixel hunting is NEVER a good thing.
I think I’d rather quit than deal with that magnet any more.
The magnet is a killer. I found that if you put the red end up, it seems to work better. Make sure you click and hold it so as it turns you keep your mouse on the magnet. Then like I did, was flip it up fast. I couldn’t do it slow.

Found the magnet fairly easy, I can’t find the screw on the lift door!!
hey the magnet is not that much a killer! You have to put it with the red part on the bottom (like an inverted U) , then point the mouse on the right “arm” (of the magnet) and hold it while going on the higher part of the barrel, being careful to not let the mouse pointer go out of the magnet

made it out– no problems — BUT — I think the hints on the bar are a code to open the safe. The name of the person is 9 letters — and the safe requires 9 digits to open — not to mention we have a gold key that is unused.
So— how do we open the safe and steal the money?
The name of the person seems to be a young girl that was found murdered along with her mother in Florida on the date listed on the gold bar. Seems the mother killed the little girl and then killed herself while the father was at the movies.
I didn’t see the hint. I’ll go back an look. I wondered about the safe code and key. You can’t leave the first part without the gold key. If I find it, I’ll add it to the walkthrough. Thanks for the heads up.

OOPs.. misread your post. You said BAR and I was thinking the stick. Yes I did see the memorial. I wonder if there is a correlation with the calendar in his room. It had days X’ed and some had ??? on them.
I missed the whole clue with the gold bar my first time through the game. I’ll head back and take a look at it.

Whether it is a clue is, well, still unknown.
You can make another mousetrap and repeat the same process… only the cheese gets eaten, and no mouse trapped…
aaaah – you can put your trapped mouse in the whole next to the safe, it will go through a small corridor and is… gone :-(, you can trap it again with a new mousetrap, but… no nail :-((

I did a little…. ahh… reverse engineering…. Didn’t find another room behind the safe. The game has so many wild geese in it that the safe maybe just another one. The numbers seem to be random and the nobs that you can turn don’t seem to have any links. Other then sliding the magnet, the game is brilliant.
