Room Marine

Room Marine is the latest Room Escape game developed by Azuki, the author of Room Bath and Room Fake.

For an unknown reason, you find yourself trapped in a peaceful blue room, and you will have to solve several puzzles before you can get out!

As usual with Azuki’s work, Room Marine is beautifully done and features a save option. There is no text in this game, so no language barrier!

   before I used the Show

   bowl of water to fill fish tank

   when I went back to the fireplace there was no Show

   screwdriver

    maybe some hints for that one:
    when sun shines, you see word “identity” on wall
    we found a paper in the beginning, with the word “PASS” and the colors green, red, blue, yellow
    there are at least 2 letters, W in green, and r in blue.

    So whats next?

    to set the sun shining:

    let down the stairs by watching the CD, click on the stairs, not the ladder on the top, then zoom in on the grid, you see a wire, cut it, then rewind the cd, the stairs go up again, in the fireplace, you find a sack, fill the sand in the tank, watch the sack again, you find the key for the place above the tank, open it, you see the sun.

    The secret pass is for Show

    i entered the 3:07 on the wall and then got sword. used sword on door chain, then left thru door. got true end after alot of chinese writing..

    I think you have to look at the negative of the numbers. So the grey areas are the centre of the numbers, and look at the green part to figure out what number you’ve entered.

    hit red button that plant points too, then go to wall where the xs and o’s were. put in wire cutters and coin then put 3:07 on the wall by hitting the button under each number. I started with colon, then figured out seven on far right cause it goes backwards. 0 was easy for the third spot, then i rotated thru the rest to get three on the first button, then get sword.

    Saved and came back for a few minutes. Reading the numbers for the time on the green panel area was very difficult. Also, my time was different 9:34.

    One more thing. You have to get the sun to shine on your seedling to make the plant grow to get your id. When I tried to use this id on the secret document on the computer, it did not work until I accomplished this.

    After solving my time on the green area, I received a Show

    red sword

    I started chopping around the room and then found that it is a “laser” sword and you can use it on the Show

    door with the chain by chopping the chain

    .

    I am about to go out the regular door although the staircase over the fireplace looks much more interesting. Can anyone translate the text at the end of the second ending using the regular door?

    I see a key outside the door when I open it. However a chain is holding the door in place. I think I need that pole on the wall to get the key

    You need the square from the place you get the wire cutters. Put the square on the safe (along with the other shapes) and get the dime. Use dime to open picture frame and get key and picture. Use wire cutters inside apple bowl (on the hinge) and get bowl. Use key to open window, get handle on right side of window, use bowl to collect rainwater. Use handle to open left cabinet under TV, get tank.

    code for the thing holding the pole in place next to the fireplace.

    Just telling me where/how to get it would be of big help.

    Walkthrough:
    Show

    Click book shelf to zoom in. Click every book.
    You will find a diamond on a purple book. Click the diamond to take it.
    You will also find a video tape that looks like a blue book (I think – it’s on the top shelf). Click on top of the bookshelf to get a string. Note a # sign on a blue book.
    Zoom out, then click on wooden box. Notice that it’s a symbol puzzle.
    Zoom out again, then click left. Note the color board. The object is to click the proper squares in the correct order that each one turns into an O. If you click the wrong square, you get an X and have to start over. We’ll come back to this later.
    Click the lamp to get a hexagon.
    Click under the couch to note that something of interest is there.
    Turn left. Click on pen. Open it. Get paper. Click pen again and open it again. Note the shape.
    Turn left. Get the picture from on top of the fireplace. Note that you can look at the back of it, but we have no screwdriver, so, again, we’ll come back to it later.
    Look at the purple-handled hook. There is a code above it. Turn left and look (but don’t click on) the bookshelf. Look at the purple books. They form numbers – 1301 (the white shapes form the gaps in the numbers). That’s the code to get the poker. Enter the code and get the poker. Note the picture of the red cross/dagger thing behind it.
    Turn right and click on the TV so that you move it out of the way. Note the clue and then plug in the TV.
    Click the front of the TV and insert the video tape. It gives you the clues for the color board puzzle:

    Click the eject button to take the tape back out. It has changed slightly. There’s a new clue on it. It’s the code for the wooden box (= sigma v). Enter that code into the wooden box puzzle to get plant growth formula. Click on the formula to open the cover, then put it on the plant to make it GROWWWWW!!! You have to click out and back in to give the plant time to grow. The plant grows down as well as up. Click where it grows down to see a green button. Click it to see a new red button and click that. The red button allowed us to open the color puzzle panel. Put the coin and wire cutters into their slots to turn it on.
    Now enter the time. You should have a 3-digit time. The hour digit goes into the first slot, the colon goes into the second slot, and the minutes go into the 3rd and 4th slots according to the code below, which I got from escape24games:
    press 1 time:number 9
    press 2 times:number 4
    press 3 times:number 3
    press 4 times:number 7
    press 5 times:number 1
    press 6 times:number 8 (and the colon)
    press 7 times:number 2
    press 8 times:number 6
    press 9 times:number 5
    If you enter the times correctly, you’ll get a red sword.
    Use the sword to cut the chain on the door and you get the true ending (after a lot of Japanese text).

    Answering my own question, it looks like Andy left out Show

    everything between the first wooden box code and the second wooden box code. (It’s the same wooden box both times, but you open it twice with two different codes.)

    I don’t know how many steps that comes to (depends on how you count, I guess), but it’s certainly at least half the game.

    Walkthrough from SUE for a true END: (so I didn’t make a walkthrough by myself)

    Show

    walkthrough PART I

    – get STRING from top of bookshelf, recognize the # sign on a BLUE book

    – get VIDEO TAPE from top row of bookshelf. examine tape to find hint with “apple candle” and note. you need it later.

    – get DIAMOND from back of pink book in middle of shelf.

    – back in originally view you now can find a NUMBER CODE from the books. just look at the pink books. top row there is 1 pink book. then the empty space where video was… the shape on the pink book is a 3. where the diamond was is a 0 and the last book is 1 again.

    – remember CODE 1301
    – notice SAFE and BOX. Diamond goes on F, you further need Circle, Triangle and Hexagon to open safe.

    – turn right. get PICTURE from fireplace.Examine frame and notice you can open the frame with a tool you need to find.

    – Input 4 number code 1301 left of fireplace to get LONG HOOK. notice RED CROSS

    – turn right. move TV on the left so you can plug in tv. notice hint : 10 coin opens screw…

    – get back, turn left again (fireplace view) to zoom in TV. Notice a blue handle for left closet door is missing and there is a screw to open the right door of closet.

    – input video. Notice RED O. play video and remember the order of appearance of the dots. You can press the yello backward button to watch again.

    – when sure about the dots get video back out, BUT ist must be “played”. dont press backward before you take it out. examine tape again in close up view and find CODE for box in shelf.

    – go back to bookshelf, open box with code and get CD-ROM and a SMALL HOOK. Notice a BLUE R

    – Combine string and small hook to get a kind of a “fishhook”

    – turn right twice to window view. get PEN from table. examine pen and find PAPAER WITH DOTS. Notice fruitbowl needs a key, window needs a key

    – turn right. Get HEXAGON from top of lamp. notice under sofa you need a key to open the blue box.

    – zoom in Picture on wall. Now input DOT CODE from video tape. When you click the squares a X is wrong CIRCLE is right. order:

    – open fruit bowl with yello key and get RED APPLE, BLUE APPLE and WIND UP KEY.

    – eat blue apple to geed SEED

    – zoom in fish and put seed on mouth to get TRIANGLE

    – light red apple in fireplace and use paper with dots on apple candle (hint on video tape) to reveal CODE FOR WIND UP KEY.

    – click under couch put wind up key in floor and press:

    when you srew up, zoom out and in again to start over

    – get SNIPER and SQUARE from opened box.

    – zoom out and zoom in fruitbowl. cut rope from bowl with sniper and get BOWL.

    – go to safe in bookshelf, place the shapes over the letters and get COIN and notice hint how to use long hook in fireplace later.

    – use coin to open picture frame ( hint from plug in tv) notice battery is missing. push white open that says OPEN

    – examine frame again to get CARD from frame. examine card to get hint for CD-ROM GAME

    – examine frame again to get WINDOW KEY from frame.

    – examine frame again to notice RED BIRD.

    – open windeow with key.open right wi ndow. get BLUE HANDLE for tv closet.

    – use bowl with rain to get WATER

    – use water on fireplace. use hook in chimeny and find PART OF SCREWDRIVER.

    – combine with empty pen to get SCREWDRIVER

    – use blue handle on closet under tv. open left door to get FISH TANK.

    – zoom in screw open it with screwdriver to open right door. to find CD PLAYER

    – turn on cd player, insert blue cd. BUT we play later.

    – Go back to fish, window. fill bowl with water again.

    – put fishtank on fish and fill with water.

    – BAck to TV

    – secret file: you ne an ID and a PASS. we will ckeck that later.

    – cd game: to understand the game examine back of the card: your aim is to connect the symbols with the SAME COLOUR by clicking the tiles. ALL TILES must be used. if you get it, a movie is automatically shown on tv.

    – connections:
    1) GREEN LEAF -> GREEN W
    2) BLUE # -> BLUE APPLE
    3) RED BIRD -> RED CROSS

    – Its a bit tricky.
    1) leaf up, the right to W
    2)# up, then left and then down to apple
    3) Bird down, and the all the way around using all tiles to reach the cross.

    walkthrough Part II

    Show

    – play the little movie on tv to see STAIRS coming down the fire place.

    – go to stairs YOU could now leave the room by going all upstairs. but to get True End, theres a little bit more to do :-)

    – click in the middle of the stairs to see a 2nd CODE FOR WIND UP KEY.
    Note: R L L L R L R

    – click grey fence above stairs and cut little rope with sniper.

    – go back under couch and turn wind up key like written above.

    – get BATTERY and notice YELLOW D

    – put battery in frame, turn frame and notice the TIME. Its different in every game. mine was 7:15 We need that later.

    – back to tv and REWIND the cd. STAIRS GO BACK up.

    – go to chimney and find DIRT

    – put dirt in fishtank.

    – examine dirt again to find YELLOW SUN KEY

    – use sun key above fishtank to reveal a sunlight

    – zoom out once and notice hint on wall: identity

    – Now its time for secret file on tv and plant needs time to grow:-)

    – we need an ID and a Pass…

    hint identity: so on tv screen we see ID missing ENTITY . so input ENTITY in line from id.

    Pass: remember paper with coloured dots: green, red, blue yellow

    we have:

    Green W (picture with squares)
    Red O ( red O video )
    Blue R (code box in shelf)
    Yellow D (from battery)

    so PASS is WORD

    enter ENTITY
    WORD

    – get SECRET PASS for Code box in Shelf again. It looks a bit confusing. The little “bow” after the first two signs IS NO SIGN.

    – Input code in code box to get GROWING POWDER for plant.

    – go to plant open powder and give it to fishtank.

    – leave the scene and come back to see a HUGE PLANT growing down to the floor.

    – dont zoom in plant. try to find the TINY GREEN DOT at the end of the plant near the bottom almost on the floor.

    – click green dot and reveal RED BUTTON . press button

    – go to picture with square. you can open it now. Put in sniper and coin.

    – Now you can change the symbols to enter the TIME you got on the frame.

    This is a very hard one.So I copy and paste Shuchuns ( ty Shuchun :-) )comment above:

    – zoom back once , open door again
    and you are OUT

    – Then follows a long scenery with text and finally

    TRUE END
