    level 17 is really annoying, cos when i move the mouse fast, the cursor goes outside the titchy screen and the movement breaks down and i have to try again. when i have got the fan up to speed, then i cant move my mouse fast enough to get the key.

    Walkthrough!
    Show

    1. Open the book. Get the key and click the door.

    2. Drag the magnifying glass over the window. Get the key in the stars (just below and to the right of the moon). Click the door (in the far-right building).

    3. Click the light switch. Now your mouse directions are switched (up is down and right is left). Get the key, then click the door.

    4. Click the circle and it will flip to say STOP. When you move your mouse, the circle flips back. So click the circle and don’t move the mouse for a few seconds. The circle will flip back and shoot out the key. Take it. Then click the circle a few more times and it will fall revealing the door.

    5. Drag the circle in a spiral to the center of the X, revealing the key. But don’t try to get it yet or you will lose it. Drag the circle in a spiral the other way back to its starting position to reveal the door. Now get the key and click the door.

    6. Click all the keys until you get one. Click all the doors until you find the right one.

    7. Right-click the key and click the Japanese writing to get it. Same with the door.

    8. Click the rectangle at the bottom to take it. Now move your mouse over the yellow wall, click and drag down to bend the rectangle, then let go to whack the wall. Do this until you find the key and the door. (Key: middle-left, door: middle-right.)

    9. Make all the squares light (each square affects the ones around it too, fastest way is squares 1, 4, 5, 6, 9), click the button, get key. Make squares dark (click squares 1, 3, 5, 7, 9), click button, click door.

    10. This level is a maze. Up arrow moves you, left/right/down arrows turn you. Window shows a first-person view, squares show location and map. The maze is shaped like the word KEY, as you will find. So here’s what you do:
    -Go to bottom-left corner of Y. Move right once (towards the other corner of Y), turn left, and push button on wall. This opens the bottom part of Y.
    -Turn back right, go forward, go right and forward to the end of the passage. Pick up the note; there is a 5-digit code on it. This is VERY important.
    -Go to top-right of Y, get key.
    -Go to top-right of K, click door (you can see knob).

    11. Shoot the wall until you see the key (it’s usually in the middle of the wall, aim for the top of the door, but it may change). Get key and click door.

    12. Click the switch and a stream of squares will start to come for YOU! If the squares catch you or you run into them, the lights will turn off. So quickly click the switch, move to get the key, then head to the door.

    13. You can click IMAGE for a hint, but the hint isn’t really necessary. Click the folder icon. Then click the folders K->E->Y for the key. Click the left arrow a few times, then click the folders D->O->O->R for the door.

    14. Move the mouse off the screen, then move it back on. Now you know which cursor is the real one! Get the key, then click the door.

    15. Click the LOAD button and it will only load partway. Drag the loading bar to the right and it will reveal the door. Now drag the LOAD button down to reveal the key. You know what to do from here.

    16. On the left edge of the paper there is a small spot that lifts when you mouse over it. Drag it quickly to the right to tear the paper. Now quickly drag the top part up to get the key. Finally, click the bright spot on the torn paper and you should see the door (well, the knob, that is).

    17. This is, by far, the hardest level. RAPIDLY mouse back and forth over the fan and eventually you will get it to spin quickly. Keep the fan spinning fast enough for long enough and the block with the door on it will lift. If it lifts high enough, it will reveal the key and hold in place for a few seconds. QUICKLY get the key, then open the door. (If you miss the key, keep trying.)

    18. Get the key and you will see two blocks and a sword. Click the sword, then start slicing the two columns. The columns will regenerate slowly after you slice them. The goal is to slice the columns so none of the bright yellow is showing (only the darker gray/yellow at the top of the columns). Once you do this, you will see the door.

    19. Drag the vertical lines to fill in two equations. 3+5=8 gets the key; 3+6=9 reveals the door.

    20. Click the calculator, then click the right side to reveal the key. Now for the tough part: Remember that 5-digit code from Level 10? This is where it is used. Click the buttons with symbols the correct number of times, then click the switch to reveal the door.

    I was actually able to figure a lot of these out by myself which is a minor triumph for me. Read 3 different walkthroughs for #10, didn’t understand a one of them and finally just had to go by trial and error. That’s when my enthusiasm started to wane. It dragged even lower with 16 as I couldn’t get the top of the envelope to move after dragging the tear strip off (though I could find the door on the strip). It completely disappearred with 17. I’m just not fast and coordinated enough to grab that key and I was getting carpal tunnel elbow running the mouse back and forth over the fan. Other than those three it was fun!
