SlingSlingSling is a nice 2D platformer released mid September at Ezone; this game was developed by the Ezone founders, Jamie and Simon Edis, two brothers from Australia.

“Sling is an Apprentice Power-Keeper in the Oozeville Power Plant. His mentor, Geeza, is a crazy old kook that spends most of his time watching the GooTube and dreaming about Green Goo Milk, rather than concentrating on his job of guarding the Oozeville Power source.

Sling’s first day at work is a tough one – just after meeting Geeza and seeing the Power source a strange portal appears and mysterious monsters emerge. The monsters steal a vital element of the Power source and take it with them back through the portal”.

The goal here is to help Sling, “a green glob of goo consisting of a hand attached to a head by a long strip of springy slime” to recover the stolen element. To do so, you will have to complete the 50 levels of the game.

Use the mouse to click and drag Sling’s head to grab different small spheres called “grabs”, or pull him back and then snap him somewhere else like a sling shot. On most levels, Sling must attach himself to all the grey “grabs” to turn them green and then reach a portal to go to the next level.

The game is elegant and very well polished: graphics and animations are gorgeous and the physics used to model Sling’s arm, his motion and the collisions are very realistic.

Overall, Sling is a very fun and addictive game.

Have fun!
