Nekogames – Escape the Room

Yoshio Ishii, the author of the Hoshi Saga series, has just released a prototype of an original Room Escape game, Nekogames – Escape the Room.
This game is all in black and white, features very basic graphics and use a text user interface instead of the traditional point’n’click interface.
Enter English commands like L or R to go left or right, use the LOOK xxx, GET xxx, MOVE xxx, OPEN xxx commands (partial list) to examine, get or move an item, or open a door. Enter ITEM to review your inventory.
I wonder why the author mixed Japanese and English in this game, because it will keeps a lot of people away from it. But again, this game is a prototype, and was just made to show ideas.

I like the concept, but it’s unfortunate that it’s in Japanese.

Ok, now that I’ve had a chance to read through the walkthrough (I was at work earlier), all I can say is “WTF?” Some of that isn’t obvious at all, and I can only assume that it makes sense if you speak Japanese.

yeah i dont get the concept of the game at all. what do putting the bricks on the chair have to do with anything? and i cant leave, theres no place to go if i open the door! you’d just run into concrete!
