Globule is the latest puzzle game created by Rowland Rose, the author of Cave Escaper and Music Bounce.

“There’s been an accident at the slime factory, and globs of slime are everywhere! It’s up to you, Rob the robot, to clean up the mess.

First collect all the globs of slime to form one big slime chain. Then go to the suction vent to remove all your slime. But be careful, each vent can only be used once. If you run out of vents and still have slime left, then you have to restart the level!”

Use the arrow keys or WASD to move your robot.

Globule is an interesting mix of Maze, Sokoban and Snake, and just like with the previous games released at LetsMakeGame, it offers a level editor to create you own levels.

I tried this on JAYISGAMES before, but I already failed on the 4th level. Maybe too stupid, maybe not patient enough….. ;)

I’ve become addicted to this and at a loss to figure level 30. There are no boxes to block the arrows for getting to the other side.

NVM- I got it Show

just make sure you have some slime and go there first, the slime will block the way. Don’t forget to leave 3 or so globs before you vaccum so that you have some slime to block the way back.

I did get 39 after using a pencil and graph paper. Here’s what I did, if my directions make any sense: Show

start by going to to right 2, down 2, right 1, up 4, left 1, up 1, left 1, down 2, left 1, up 1, left 1, up 1, left 1, down 3, left 1, up 2, left 1,
up 1, left 1, down 2, left 1, up 1, left 1, up 1, left 1, down 1, left 2, up 1, left 1,
down 1.
Then go back all the way to where you started so that the open square is at the other end (top left of the screen).

Now go left 1, down 1, right 1, down 1, right 1, down 1, right 1, down 1, right 1,
down 2, left 2, up 2, left 1, down 2, left 2, up 2, right 1, up 2, left 2, up 1, left 1,
down 3, right 1, down 2, left 2, up 2, left 1, down 2, left 2, up 1, left 1, down 1,
left 2, up 4, right 1, down 2, right 3, up 1, left 1, up 1, right 2, up 2, left 1.

That should put you on the vacuum grate.

Hopefully this works and I didn’t mess up the directions

Level 39: Show

This is one of the “make a continuous path of blobs” levels, with absolutely no room for error. (Ok, well, there’s one square’s worth of backtracking room, but it ain’t gonna do you no good.) The key to solving it is realizing that just because slime trail can’t be moved, it doesn’t mean that you can’t move along the slime trail. The continuous path starts one square to the right (or below) the top left corner, and ends up at the grate, but you start somewhere along the middle of the path.

(L = left, R = right, U = up, D = down)

Step 1: the tail – from the starting square, go:
RRDDRUUUULULDDLULULDDDLUULULDDLU, then on into the top left corner. (You wouldn’t have gotten to level 39 if you can’t figure out a path for this.)

Step 2: backtrack to the other end of your slime trail (which will be one square to the right of the starting point).

Step 3: the body:
LLDRDRDRDRDDLLUULDDLLUURUULLULDDDRDDL
This should get you to the middle of the bottom row, with a wall above you.

Step 4: the head:
LUULDDLLLLLUUUURDDRDRURULURRUU

And then you just go left onto the grate.

Here’s an attempt to describe the solution for level 46. Show

You’re gonna do a lot of pulling back and forth in this one. The key is to leave yourself enough room so you can pull your other end to a junction, not leave it stuck in a dead end.

Let’s label the board areas as “left” (the stuff below and to the left of the grate), “middle” (the loop in the middle bottom with the little tail going up and to the left toward the grate, and another tail going up and to the right), and “right” (the backwards-P-shaped loop). You start out in the stem of the P.

In the following, “pull back” means go to the other end of your slime trail (i.e. the end you weren’t using just now) and pull the trail into the empty spaces there, for the required number of spaces. “Pull forward” is similar, except it uses the end that was just “active”. Oh, and “box” refers to the wooden crates that you can push, although this solution does not require you to push them – I’m just using them as landmarks.

First, get most of the stuff in the middle:
LUUULLDDLLLLDDR, which should get you “stuck” to the left of the box. Pull back one. Now you need to pull forward 6 spaces into the left part. You’ll need to do this several times, using up more of the empty spaces each time. You don’t need the whole space just yet, but here’s the path to follow when you do:
(starting two spaces to the left of the lowest box)DLLULURUULLLUURDRRRRRR

Next, get the remaining three blobs from the middle loop (DDL).

Pull back 5, then get the five blobs from the top middle tail of the middle part (UULLL).

Pull back 5, then get the left part of the P:
RRUUUULLLUURR.

Pull back 9, then get the stem of the P, using up as much of the empty space as possible, and ending up “stuck” above the box:
RRDDDRUUUUUL

Pull back 1, then get the rest of the P (UULL).

Now it’s just a matter of going back to the left end of the trail and getting to the grate.
