    Ginin:
the flashlight is used to Show

see into the hole behind the picture that you knock off the wall,

    which reveals Show

how to use the color wheel on the secret box

    that you found Show

inside the blue balance ball behind the bed.

Otherwise, how would you know how to Show

put the colors in order on the secret box?

Or did you just use the walkthrough?

    what I did was Show

read the notebook, saw the ball diagram and started up with the blue color (since the color used in the diagram was blue) and then checked the colors at the color-machine at the wall, I went counter-clockwise.

maybe was a lucky guess or coincidence :P

Note that the walkthrough omits something:
    Show

The hammer mentioned in steps 4 and 8 is behind the umbrella stand.

    Edit: walkthrough updated!

Snowman’s Walkthrough for Nekonote Escape #3. Another walkthrough for U!
    Show

Lift the pink pillow and take the key. Turn left and use the key to open the top drawer. Take the notebook, then turn left again. Take the green umbrella and look behind the umbrella stand. Take the hammer, then look at the ceiling. Use the umbrella on the hook and a blue box drops down. Turn to the bed and see a blue ball behind the bed. Look at the umbrella and lift the handle. It is now a knife that you can use on the blue exercise ball. Pop it and look at the safe. The combination is dark blue, green, yellow, red. Take the yellow ball that appears. Turn to the desk and look at the chair. Use the umbrella-knife on the chair, then take the piggy bank. Crush the piggy bank with the hammer and take the purple ball. Turn to the blue box hanging from the ceiling and put the purple ball in his left eye, yellow in his right. Back up and he now has a star in his mouth. Crash the little box that is covering the star hole, then put in the star. Open the door, you won!
