Makoto Transaction

Makoto Transaction is a new Japanese Room Escape game released a few hours ago. The game is only available in Japanese, and there is a fair amount of pixel-hunting here.

You find yourself trapped in a bedroom. It won’t take long before you can replace the missing knob on the door, and if you decide to use the brute force approach, you should be able to open the cupboard after a couple of minutes.

That being said, if you’re ready to be frustrated, Transaction is a good pick!

Have fun!

Show

Get the cigarettes on the coffee table.
Read the note under the pillow (useless if you don’t read Japanese).
Click under the bed and get the lighter.
Click between the bed and the wall with the door to find a screwdriver.
Click the right side of the mattress (center part) to lift it: get the first note.
Go right.

Show

Click the bottom part of the second red book from the right, on the bottom shelf. You will find a second note.
Go right.
Open the cupboard (the code is 108) and get the third note.
Go back left.
Get the third book from the left (or right) on the middle shelf. Select the book in your inventory and click several times “thinksâ€. (Edit: “possibly changes every game… i got one of the green books towards the middle…” – Thanks Entangle!)
Select now the cigarettes and click “thinks†again. You can see a cigarette on the screen: click the needle to get it. Close the window.

Show

Go right.
Use the needle to open the CD tray of the stereo system. Get the DVD.
Click the left along the left side of the DVD player, until a brown box appears in a new window (the spot is difficult to find!).
The clue on the box indicates that you need to press Shift + ‘S’. Press Shift + ‘S’ it and you will receive two batteries.

Show

Go right twice. Click under the coffee table and look at the key. You can’t get it now.
Go right. Select the needle in your inventory. Click the bottom left corner of the bookshelves. A clock appears in a new window. Place the needle on the clock. Close the window. Select the batteries. Bring up the clock. Click the top right corner to turn it over and put the batteries in.

Show

Go left, click under the table and get the key.
Go left twice. Select the key and click the bottom left corner of the trap door on the floor.
Put the DVD in the player. Click the screen twice to play the DVD.
Use the screwdriver to open the trapdoor.
Congrats! You escaped the room! And the good news is: to be continued…
