Nitrome‘s fans will be pleased to know that they have just released a new physics-based puzzle game, Power Up.
Your goal is to connect the two robot heads to get to the next level.
To do so, move the boxes of different shapes with your mouse and use the electricity-conducting ones to create a circuit between the robot heads.
Power Up features 32 levels of increasing difficulty and like most games from Nitrome, it is very well done.
The controls could have been better though.

I didn’t like that the fact that after loading a level I had to press ‘play’…
I obviously wanted to play the level ;-)
I don’t think it’s one of Nitrome’s best, but I can’t really comment as I only managed to play two levels. On completion of the second level the game loaded level 32! But just the background. Then wouldn’t do anything else…
I don’t seem to have any luck with getting Nitrome games to work anymore, it did similar with Icebreaker…

toxic-having to press play let’s you pause between levels
too hard to be gentle w/the pieces…hated it
i have been able to make it to level 16 were you have to build a tower with ONLY 3 bolts, i just cant do it. will some one please help me out!!!!!
I’m on 16, and connected everything, but power not going thru.
Wonder if you need to remove all 3 bolts (?)
Sue, ‘pause’ let’s me pause a level, even before I start it…
So does the fact that when I’ve finished a level I have to click on ‘next level’ to progress ;-)
That’s why I found it tedious that after choosing to play the next level I then had to click ‘play’…
To get passed level 16 use a screw to put the L shaped piece to the transformer you’re trying to reach at the top of the level. then build up to it. reusing the screws as needed. its difficult but it can be done.
Yeah, I sure wish I could get ALL those “play” clicks back. Then I’d have time to do my laundry and dishes.
EDIT: Got 16… you can leave the bolts in.

Completed the circuit on level 20 THREE times. Power goes across, but doesn’t register on the other side.

william, just keep buying new clothes and use paper plates…
Then u can click ‘play’ all day long ;-)
Btw, regarding the game (oh, that thing ;-) ), I still can’t get past level 2! Level 3 just will not load for me :-/
Somewhere in the middle of struggling with that level with the “deadly ground”, I realized, you know what? This isn’t fun. The controls are just too uncontrollable, I HATE how you have to scroll around on the screen, the chest is never where you want it to be… all par for the course for Nitrome, but that doesn’t mean I have to waste my time on it.

Level 80 is the one with a bunch of L blocks and floating blocks. There doesn’t seem to be enough floating blocks to cross the river. >_<

I solved 18 differently.
I used 2 opposing blocks (in compression) as the “span” between the moveable land chunks — like this

okay, the “diagram” didn’t work !!
imagine two L shapes, long side up and horizontal, mirroring eachother.
In the title screen the blox that spell out power up are moveable, and there are 2 genoraters, has any one connected them?
I`m thinking easteregg.
On level 20 I connect the circuit, but the power doesn’t go through, wtf!!!!
I agree with Reka and Sue. There are too many annoying factors to make the game enjoyable. I stopped playing at lv. 9 because, as Sue pointed out, there is no way to use a “gentle touch” with the blocks. Maybe it’s a setting in the physics engine, but the feel of this game is just too frustrating. Guess I’ll be going back to Loops of Zen!
If there is no way for the gentle touch, why are at lest 3 of us on level 20 ??
Personally, I like this game… a lot. And, I won’t be needing a box of tissues for every time a block doesn’t go my way.
@ Marcus: I had the same problem. Connected level 20 three times with the same result. Maybe someone can figure out how to contact the creator (?)

i managed to reach level 29
for me its easy it just takes time and a good structure plan with spacing.
I could put up a youtube video?
well there are two light up things and you have to slide the single normal box so only the edge was touching the power thing. then put the blinking light next to it directly like this: +=power >=light up box L= normal box: (+L>) so then you put the two normal boxes on the other side directly next to each other. then you put the other light up box conected to the normal boxes >LL+ if thats too complicated you shouldn’t be playing that game because i beat all of the levels! well good luck! you can’t find everything on walkthrough websites tho’!
