    it’s like a magic square except with multiplications. use hint in the book, after erasing it the numbers left are the results you expect

    When you’ve erased the numbers in the book, you need to fill in 1 to 9 in such a way, that each 3 numbers in a row or column, when you multiply them, makes the numbers in the book. Fill these numbers in on the little box and it will open.

    tried for the door:

    notice that only 4 colors are used when you scan the cards : blue, red, green and pink, which translates to T, E, S, A with help of the code in drawers (EAST ?)
    now if you take each of the same-colored dots from all cards and pile them up, you get numbers…4 for letter E, 5 for A, 2 for S and 0 for T
    tried 4520 and other combinations of these numbers,

    but doesn’t work…

    Code for doorShow

    trace all the green dots from each swipe card and u will get a 4, trace all the dots from the blue swipe card, red and yellow…u will get the numbers 5042. Then in the order of the word TOMATOES in the block put your #’s in the corresponding colour order 4 is red, and so on…

    Walkthrough (with thanks to Naomii and Anonymouse for the parts I couldn’t get on my own):

    Under cabinet by door, get green card and a tomato.

    Show

    Turn left. Behind and to the right of low cabinet, get another tomato. Top middle of strange tall shelf, get a third tomato.

    Turn left. Under dark chest, get eraser. Click the left edge of the lighter-colored cabinet to look behind; get yellow card.

    Turn left. Click left front edge of chair; get red key. Click drawer on left, get a fourth tomato; notice the word “tomatoes”, each letter a different color. Click drawer on right, get blue key.

    Turn right. On the dark chest with the compass thingy, click where the compass arrow points (to the right of the compass) — a red keyhole is revealed. Use the red key to get a fifth tomato and a red card.

    Turn left. Click notebook on floor to the right of the chair. Use the eraser on it to get the row and column clues for a 3×3 multiplication “magic square”: put the digits 1 through 9 into the grid so that if you multiply the three digits in each row or column, you get the corresponding number as a result. You have to use each digit once (and only once). Answer:

    Turn twice. Use the code on the little box on the cabinet next to the tall shelf; get a screwdriver.

    Turn right. Use the blue key on the cabinet by the door to get the blue card. Use the screwdriver on the panel on the door.

    Turn left. Click the left edge of the tall shelf (just above halfway up) to see a weird panel thingy. Click the black rectangle with each of the cards and note the patterns of dots. Notice that they use four colors. Combine the dots of a single color to reveal digits: pink is a 5, red is a 4, blue is a 0, and green is a 2.

    Use the colors in the word “tomatoes” to associate each number/color with a letter: pink A (5), blue T (0), red E (4), green S (2). Now remember the compass on the dark chest: it’s pointing due EAST.

    This gives the order of the digits for the door code: 4520.

    Enter the code at the door, click the circle so it turns yellow, click the doorknob and you’re out with perfect end.

    Well, here’s where the dude who wrote this game went wrong. The box code thing has more than one correct solution!
    I found a solution that fits everything that’s been said here and fits the clues, and still didn’t open the box (got me stuck for quite a while!). Why? because the writer didn’t even care to make sure there is only one correct solution.
    Of course this could have been done on purpose, but it just ruins the game if you ask me:

    Magogo200- I think you’re only supposed to use every number (1-9) and only use each number once, which is why the box is initially set up with 1-9

    Magogo200: as Anonymouse says, you’re supposed to use each digit exactly once. It wouldn’t be much of a “magic square” otherwise.
    If the rule was “use only single-digit numbers”, then there would indeed be multiple solutions, as you found.

    Hey how do u get the code for the door cuz i have red, blue, green, and yellow cards but in my word tomatoes i dont have a yellow and i dont have a pink card!! LOL
