Here’s a more detailed explanation:

Based on the initial set-up, you can’t catch him because he will always be “one step ahead of you.” The trick is to “de-synchronize” your steps by using the triangle to move “diagonally” across a square. So, do this:

1) Move down to the triangle closest to you (ignore the criminal for now).

2) Cut ONCE across the curved portion of the triangle (effectively, a diagonal of one of the squares).

3) Now chase the criminal into one of the other three corners of the board.

4) Eventually, he will have to bounce back onto one of the squares next to you.

5) Click on the square he is on to catch him.

Okay, this just got a lot easier. Thank you all for helping me, that was the only ‘heart’ I needed to win!! Heres how to do it-Show

First, move into the right lower corner, then move over to the weird diagonal thing, then cut back across to the top corner to catch him.
