Trapped – The Labyrinth

After almost a year, the long awaited final chapter of the Trapped trilogy, The Labyrinth, is live! According to Rodrigo Roesler and Bruno Maestrini, “in this chapter you will hopefully understand how the story ends and what the hell David is doing in that weird house.”

The engine used in this game was remade from scratch and there was a complete remodeling of the visuals!

   WALK THROUGH
   It is best to play Part 1 & 2 to understand the area and story.

   RECAP:
   Show

   Dave Green has a wife named Becca. A few days ago, Becca’s mom, Maureen, died. Going through some old things, Becca found some drawings. Becca had drawn them when she was little.
   -King and Queen representing her mom and dad.
   -Mark the clown. Becca’s imaginary friend.
   -Fat kid next door who bullied Becca.
   -Picture of an assassin.
   The drawings brought back memories for Becca resulting nightmares about the assassin.

   Yesterday, Becca had a talk with Dave about what happened when she was little. One night, her dad put a pillow over her face. She could hear her parents arguing. There was a struggle, and her dad hurt Maureen. When Becca woke up a hospital, Maureen was still unconscious. It was there she made those drawings. After talking to Dave about the past, Becca took her stuff, and left. She did not say if she would be coming back.

   TRAPPED 1 START.
   Dave wakes up in a room with a dead body next to him. He is in an unknown house. Exploring, he sees a calendar. The date is 10-20-1989. There is a doghouse in the back for Mr. Bubbles. After solving some puzzles, Dave ends up back in the original room. The dead body is no longer there. There is a girl there named Becky. It is Becca 18 years ago as a little girl. Becky tells Dave that they met yesterday. She said that Dave killed that guy, but said it was too late. The guy is Becky’s dad.

   Doing some more exploring, Dave finds his way into a secret room where he discovers a diary written by Becky’s dad.
   3/17 – Mike is dying. Maureen is depressed. (Mike is apparently their son. Becky’s brother.)
   3/18 – Mike is better. Doctors cannot explain.
   3/21 – Mike dies in Becky’s room.
   3/22 – Maureen locks herself in room. Dad and Becky sleep on couch.
   4/07 – Maureen is apathetic and despondent.
   4/08 – Dad gets a puppy for Becky. Mr. bubbles. Maureen still is apathetic and despondent.
   7/12 – Maureen still the same. Maureen and husband yell at each other. Maureen feels he doesn’t understand what she says. Becky hiding with dog.
   7/13 – House feels empty like Maureen isn’t there.
   10/20 – “I did something terrible last night.”

   After solving more puzzles, Dave finds a hole, and goes through.

   TRAPPED 2 START.
   The hole closes above him, and Dave is trapped in a weird underground chamber. After exploring and solving some puzzles, Dave breaks down a brick wall. When he goes through, his wife, Becca, appears in a hallucination. She tells him not to go in there.

   Dave enters the room. It is a strange room with toys and a hospital bed. It appears to be Becky’s sick room. Here, Dave finds the same drawings that Becca had talked to him about. After cracking a code on the door, Dave walks in another room. He sees a vision of little Becky sedated in a white clean room hospital bed. After exiting and reentering, Dave finds himself in a ladder room. He climbs up, and is now back in the secret room of the house. The same diary is there, but the entry for 10/20 is missing.

   Dave enters the master bedroom, and sees Maureen in bed. He tries to talk to her, but she doesn’t say anything. He escapes the room, only to find himself outside. Mr. Bubbles is there, but looks sick. While exploring, Dave looks at the calendar. It is 10-19-1989. Dave tries to go into Becky’s room, but it’s locked. He can here Becky and her dad in there hiding. Dave explores and solves some more puzzles.

   Eventually Dave finds the key to Becky’s room. When he enters, Becky’s dad is acting mean. Dave kills him with a knife. His motive? The game won’t let him do anything else to get out of that house. Dave takes the key to the front door. Becky runs out. Dave exits Becky’s room, and everything goes black.

   TRAPPED 3
   Show

   Dave is in Becky’s Room with the dead body. Exit the room through door. Everything goes black. Dave finds himself in the Back Yard.

   -Statue. Read Sign. It mentions a beast and a small creature with a tag on his neck.
   -Rotten Window. Take Termites.
   -Dog House. Mr. Bubbles is sleeping. Take Candy Can. Take Paper. It mentions an opponent and spilling blood.
   -Use Knife to open the Candy Can. You get Assassin Key and Dog Key.
   -Door. Use Assassin Key. Goes to Becky’s Room.

   -Strange Symbol on the wall. It appears to be a map.
   -Large Closet. Take Thread and Torn Picture.
   -Toy Chest. Take Toy Cannon.
   -Dead Body. Take Paper. It mentions a place to rest where somebody died.
   -Mike’s bed. Take Sick Man Key. Take Paper. It mentions something about leaving 2 signs of a visit.
   -Broken wood at bottom left of Door. Use Termites to eat the wood. Take King Key.
   -Door. Use King Key. Goes to Reading Room.

   Becky is there. Talk to Becky. Dave tries to explain what happened. Becky sends Dave away. He is back in Becky’s Room. Go back to Reading Room. Becky is no longer there.

   -Small Couch. Take Torn Picture. Take Paper. It mentions ashes.
   -Big Couch. Take Small Key.
   -Bookshelf. Read all books. Take Torn Picture from last book.
   -Door. Use Maid Key. Goes to Kitchen.

   -Gate. There is a Note on the other side of the gate. Examine Cereal Box until you get Sticky Hand. Use Sticky Hand to snatch the Note.

   -Becky is there. Talk to Becky. Combine Torn Picture with Adhesive Tape. You get Photo of Becky’s dad. Give Photo to Becky.
   -Take Buffoon Key. Buffoon Key leads to 3 rooms. Well Room, Bathroom, and White Room.
   -Door. Use Buffoon Key until you get to Bathroom.

   BECKY’S STORY
   Show

   This is the young Becky from the timeline in which her dad attacked Becky and Maureen, and was murdered afterwards. Apparently, Dave was there before. He killed Becky’s dad, but it was already too late. The dad had already committed the attack.

   In the first timeline, Becky’s dad committed the attack, but he was never murdered. In the second timeline, Becky’s dad was murdered after he committed the attack. After she gets out of the hospital, Becky tears the picture of her dad out of spite. Becky meets the murderer, Dave, who tells her he was too late. When this murder occurred in the second timeline, the first timeline ceased to exist.

   It is now the third timeline, and Dave murdered Becky’s father before the attacks were committed. Currently, Dave is talking to Becky from the second timeline. She asks Dave for the photo of her dad. Now that he never committed the attack, her dad is a good guy. Becky then tells Dave that her timeline will be over soon. She tells him that this whole thing is her dream, and that he is a part of her dream. She says the underground chamber is where things go when they need to be hidden. Dave was hidden down there. Then she gives the Buffoon Key to Dave.

   -Window. Use Knife on Window to cut Beehive. It will fall into Wishing Well.
   -Mirror. Take Fragments.

   -Door. Use Buffoon Key until you get to Well Room.

   WELL ROOM
   -Stones. Take Honey. Take Paper. It mentions bricks and wishes.
   -Go to Back Yard.

   -Wishing Well. Use Knife on loose brick. You get a Paper. It mentions where to find characters from Alice in Wonderland.
   -Hole. Splatter Honey on Hole. Flies will appear. Use Cereal Box to gather Flies.
   -Door. Use Buffoon Key until you get to Bathroom.

   -Mirror. Take Paper. It mentions something about plates.
   -Put Alcohol into Lighter. Use Lighter on Toy Cannon. You get Melted Plastic in a Candy Can.
   -Put Crap into empty Candy Can. Use the Broken Glutton Key on the Crap to create a mold. Use Melted Plastic on the Crap to create the Glutton Key Copy.
   -Door. Use Glutton Key Copy. Goes to Dining Room.

   -Dish Cabinet. Take Paper. It mentions something about a beast.

   -Statue. Use Knife on Sign. You get a Paper. It mentions something about the sky.
   -Dog House. Look at sky. Use Sticky Hand to snatch Paper. After reading paper, you get a Diagram Half.
   -Door. Use Buffoon Key until you get to White Room.

   WHITE ROOM
   -Hole. Place Frog in Hole.
   -Door. Use Buffoon Key until you get to Well Room.

   WELL ROOM
   -Hole. Splatter Honey on Hole. Use Cereal Box on Hole to release Flies. Frog will come to eat flies. Take Frog. Examine Frog. You get the other Diagram Half.
   -Stones. Use both Diagram halves as a reference to arrange Fragments on stones. A light appears pointing to a brick.
   -Brick. Take Servant Key.
   -Door. Use Servant Key. Goes to Main Room.

   MAIN ROOM
   -Grown Becca is there. Talk to Becca. Becca tells Dave that she left him because her dreams reminded her about the Assassin. The Assassin was Dave.
   -Leave through the main door. Mission accomplished!

   What is the purpose of Peasant Key and Sick Man Key?

     its the -Labyrinth Coin: In the third game. You need to get the small bag from the kitchen table, then examine it to get the coin. Use the coin on the well. The first time, it will give you bad choices, so choose “maybe I’ll make a wish later”. Go on with the game for a while, then use the coin on the well again. Choose “I wish I had another coin” and you’ll get the Labyrinth Coin. its the secret ending

   Hi! First of all I can’t take credit for _any_ of this, I got it from Jay’s, Nordinho, EG24 & here as well. If you need a walkthrough for chapter 4 see DNOMN8R’s comment #50. It also has the location for the secret coins. You already know how to get the Labyrinth key, most WT’s loose the coin by wishing for the key.

   A few points though, in ‘The White Rabbit’ use the axe to get the coin before you cut the tree or you’ll loose it. One of the authors of the game (Rodrigo Roesler) posted on Nordinho that ‘the sick man’ key wasn’t meant to be used and the map tells you why. He also says that you must play the games on the same server or you won’t have the coins in the next game. I just played them all from rabbit-tell’s site.

   He also gives a lot of background on the characters and how the chapters were planned out in advance. Very clever. I like how he picked the name Becca Rice. Have a good time.

    Did you wish to get the Glutton key from rabbit? Don’t. Next time, use the hammer to get the Glutton key, and use the coin to “wish for another coin” to get the Labyrinth coin.

    First I played the game without getting the extra coins – boy was that ending

    What, you all missed the secret ending? Given how much backtracking I need to do to get it, I was hoping someone would have written a summary of it. Show

    (According to a competing site, you need to have gotten hidden coins in the first two games, and to get a third in this game. Then you go out the front door, but turn back, and find Becky gone and the Queen Key in the couch. From there, it apparently gets even weirder than it was.)

    OK, I put a walkthrough for the secret ending earlier, but I’ll do it again.

    FIRST, you need to have all 3 secret coins. There is one in every game.
    -Rabbit Coin: In the first game, in the hall. Between the kitchen and dining room doors, there is a clickable spot on the wall. Use your axe on the wall.(NOTE: you must do this before you chop down the tree.)
    -Dark Coin: In the second game, in the cellar, in the room with all the books. There is one blank book near the back of the corner of the table. Use your lighter on it, then search the cover.
    -Labyrinth Coin: In the third game. You need to get the small bag from the kitchen table, then examine it to get the coin. Use the coin on the well. The first time, it will give you bad choices, so choose “maybe I’ll make a wish later”. Go on with the game for a while, then use the coin on the well again. Choose “I wish I had another coin” and you’ll get the Labyrinth Coin.

    Now, for the secret ending:
    Show

    -If you have all 3 secret coins, when you try to leave, Becca will call you back. Search the couch and you’ll find a note. “mum to mud to mad to dad.” Search the couch again and you’ll get the elusive Queen key.
    -Use the Queen key to enter the master bedroom. Pick up the notebook from the bed. Read the notebook….
    -Go back to Becky’s bedroom (Assassin key). Talk to her (I can’t remember if you have to give her the notebook or not. She will give you instructions. (Make this mess disappear, put the past into the light, put the rabbit back where it belongs.)
    -Go outside (Dog key or Peasant key) and throw the Labyrinth coin into the well. (Make this mess disappear – done.)
    -Go to the cellar (Buffoon key repeatedly) and use the Dark coin on the circle of light. (Put past into light – done.)
    -Go back outside (Dog/Peasant key) and use the Rabbit coin on the rabbit statue. (Put rabbit where it belongs – done.)
    -Watch cutscene. Here’s what you need to know…
