Escape the nonVerus Desert

In Escape the nonVerus Desert, you find yourself trapped in an unknown room in the middle of an unknown desert. It won’t take long before you find a way to get out of the room, but the goal today is this Room Escape game is to escape from… the desert! Have fun!

   I guess it depends on what keyboard you use or something like that…
   Did you find the remote? You need it to open the garage door.

   nope I didn’t find the remote. But haven’t I already opened the garage door with the first key that I found (right under the table with the locked drawer) and I did manage to use the key I found in the desert on the car but it’s refusing to open for me. :(

   I can’t remember clearly any more, but I think you need a sunset (7PM) and I think the key is on the cactus that is closest to the sunset…

   The key you found under the desk is for the door between the room and the garage. You need a remote for the garage door so you could drive out from the garage. Read my comment (No. 53), hope it helps.
   About the truck key: take the key (hold your left click), wait for the stupid inventory bar to go down, then hold the key over the lock until it disappears. If you have the compass and the remote, I think you’ll be out, because you already have the map in your inventory.

    Walkthrough

    1. Show

    Turn right, pick up books, pick up map from top of shelves.

    2. Show

    Turn right, click under the drawer (right shadow), take gold key.

    3. Show

    Turn right. Note that you can change time on the clock.Go back.

    4. Show

    Click on the ceiling, take batteries.

    5. Show

    Read black book from your inventory, it has clues. Note the hint for the key. The Morse code says:
    W S E (West, South, East - when you are outside, after a point you will see that the West is to the left and East is to the right)

    If you follow and do that (I opened a Word doc, pressed and held Alt key while pressing 50 and so on), you you get 2:21. That is the time you need to set on the clock. Leave it at AM.

    6. Show

    Hit the window with the only book you can move (the Thesaurus). Go out.

    7. Show

    Turn right, click the upper part of the screen, you will get a view of the sky. Just below the middle of the right part of the screen there is a cactus shape. Click around a bit if you don’t see it, it will turn green. In the upper left part of the screen there is an arrow shape pointing at something that looks like a key shape. Go back, you will see a big cactus in front. SECOND to the left from that cactus there is another cactus. Click on it, you will get another view. I know it’s dark, but the starlight gives you enough light to take the car key from the green king ;). Go back to the house (you can go inside only by clicking in the lower part of the middle screen).

    Set the clock time to 7PM (I got this just by randomly changing the time to see whether it changes anything outside). Go out again, go to the left, you’ll see the sunset. There are four big cacti in front of you. Click on the little shadow under the lower left hand of the cactus. it will take you to a new view. Take the key hanging from it. Click on the dark shape to the left, it’s a compass. Go back inside.

    Now use the silver key on the desk drawer and take the remote (hold the key over the lock until it disappears).

    10.Show

    Use the gold key on the door, you will enter the garage. Put the batteries into the remote, the garage door will open. Take the key from the inventory and hold it until the stupid bar goes down. Put it over the lock until it disappears.

    That’s it.

    It appears that you must Show

    click the cactus constellation (and make it green) before the game will let you get the car key. If you don’t make the constellation green, you can click the bloomin’ cactus all you want, the only thing that’ll happen is that you’ll keep moving to the left because it’s so close to the edge of the screen.

    the clue is the other book - the one you can’t read or move or anything, but if you point at it, the game says “It’s just a generic western. These always end the same.” Well, how does a generic western end?

    By the hero riding off into the sunset, of course. Now, like you, I haven’t a clue what *time* this generic sunset-riding-off-into-thing occurs, but there’s only a few possibilities, so try them and see if the outside looks sunset-ish.

    I just tried 8:00 pm, and it works too. In fact, any time between 7:00 and 9:59 pm - i.e. the red hand on or after 7, but before 10 - will produce the sunset you want.

    What I’ve yet to figure out is where exactly to click to get the man-shaped cactus. I just click randomly near the middle of the screen until it appears.

    Correction on No. 10: Show

    You don’t need to wait for the item bar to go down (when I played, my computer was running slower and slower, so I got the impression that I should wait for that. That was actually a glitch). It is only enough to hold the key onto the lock (make sure that you put the cursor there).

    talk about pixel hunting… I actually found the car key without ever checking the constellations - so I know it is possible, and why is sunset at 7pm? why not 6pm? why not 6:30pm? There should have been more clues.

    Oh, and I don’t like the inventory bar either.
