Escape Japanese Library is a Japanese Room Escape game that takes place, guess what… in a library! And in a library, there are a lot of books! How many books will you click before you find the two ones that contain hints? Well if you donâ€™t read Japanese, it doesnâ€™t matterâ€¦ Have fun!

Think I got the dolls right. Couldn’t figure out what changed, but found Show

back at the mirror, click on the panel on the left and then click it again. I am guessing this is the code to get out.

Again, language barrier making this game VERY difficult!

Order of the dolls and End of game walkthru
Show

From left to right & front = 1st row and back = 2nd row
Bunny ears doll 2nd circle first row
Blonde hair, black top, red skirt 4th circle first row
Black hat, blonde hair 5th circle first row
gray hair, blue dress 4th circle second row
brown hair with red bow 6th circle second row

Used that sheet with symbols and the order of the colored symbols and the fact that
triangle = 1, circle = 3, X = 2, and box = 6 to continue pattern
Dolls with patterns I placed first then other two (trial and error)

Unfortunately, you only realize you did it right by going back to mirror and clicking on the vertical scroll to left of mirror
then, a display appears and you need to pick: moon, blue, yellow
Mirror goes black, click it — See new girl
click all objects on her
go back to tree pot, yin yang is back
take yin yang back to mirror and click on girl in mirror

Gah, that was… pointless. Pixel hunting, completely random “puzzles” (at least if you don’t read Japanese), lame ending. What more could we want, eh.

One note for finding last two dolls: Show

To get that elusive black book with a red ribbon, you need to go talk to the girl who gave you the sword. Then and only then can you go to the big bookshelf and click like mad near the middle of the second row from the top. (Well, ok, so I suppose you can go click like mad anytime you want, but you won’t get the beribboned book.)

Oh..my…God!!!! Thank you to everyone who posted, I finally escaped the library! LOL I would like to share a few hints so it won’t seem so impossible…plant the seeds in the pot, then: Show

1) highlight yin yang and click “about”, 2) Click hexagon on yin yang for “fire”, 3) Click potion on yin yang for “water”, 4) Back out of the “about” screen and click yin yang on tree for “wood”, 5) Highlight yin yang and go into “about” view and click sword on yin yang for “metal”, 6) Back out of “about” screen and use sword to chop down tree, 7) Highlight yin yang and click on pot for “soil”. This unlocks the yin yang and leaves a doll. If, for some reason you need to start over just press the mini yin yang button and it will reset. Also, in order to open the cupboard high on the wall by the little girl, highlight her face after she is in your inventory, click on the cabinet and voila….the last doll!

GOT EVERYTHING…….USED IT……..PUT ALL THE DOLLS IN THEIR RIGHT PLACES…..AM STILL STUCK WITH: THE SEEDS, THE BROWN DISC, THE BOTTLE OF WATER, THE KID AND THE PAPER WITH THE SYMBOLS ON IT!!!!!!!! CAN’T DO ANOTHER THING!!!!!!!! THERE IS APPARENTLY NO WAY OUT OF THIS GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here’s a walkthrough for ppl who are stuck

Show

1. Get the Yin-Yang Orb (YYO) from the desk and get the key from the second drawer of the desk.
2. Get Tewi’s doll (the rabbit-eared-doll) from top of the cupboard.
3. Move to the smaller drawer on the way to the big bookshelf. Use the key on the lower drawer and get the magic potion (bottle of water).
4. Get Medicine’s doll (the red-dress and yellow-hair doll) from the lowest level of the bookshelf.
5. (Optional) Click on the third book from the left side of the 3rd level of the giant bookshelf. Open the book and click the magic potion and then the book’s left page.
6. Click on the fifteenth book from the right side of the 3rd level of the giant bookshelf. Open the book and get the star piece.
7. Face the mirror on the right side of the bookshelf room (but do not click on the mirror). Then click the right side wall. Get the Red Circle piece.
8. Move to the place where there were five Chinese Characters. Click on the characters in the following order: Red (click once) -> Blue (don’t click) -> Green (click four times) -> Yellow (click twice) -> Brown (click five times). Get the moon piece.
9. Click on the wardrobe next to the chinese characters. Place the three hexagons onto the wardrobe’s missing spot.
10. Click on the tenth book from the left of the middle level of the bookshelf in the wardrobe. Open the book.
11. Click on the eighth book from the left of the uppermost level of the bookshelf in the wardrobe. Open the book and get the note inside it.
12. Click on the seventh book from the left of the lowermost level of the bookshelf in the wardrobe. Open the book.
13. Get the wooden stick from the wardrobe.
14. Go back to the position where you were facing the mirror. Click on the right end wall as you did when you got the red circle hexagon. Alice Margatroid (the girl in the blue dress) will show up. She’ll give you a sword.
15. Click on the giant bookshelf. Now carefully click on the lowermost-leftside corner of the bookshelf. Use the stick to get Marisa’s (the protagonist) Master Spark Charge (the wooden octagon)
16. Click on the wardrobe where you got the wooden stick. Click on Alice’s sword. Now carefully click on the thin crack-like dark line that is on the wall, just above the floor. Get the key that drops out of it.
17. Click on the desk where you got the YYO. Use your second key to open the third drawer. Get the seeds inside.
18. Face the desk where you got the YYO (but do not click on it). Click on the leftmost part of the wall. You’ll see a dead tree. Click on the sword and click on the dead tree to cut it off.
19. Click on the YYO and about item button. Click on the Master Spark Charge (the wooden octagon) and click on the YYO. A red explosion will occur.
20. Then click on the magic potion (the bottle of water). A blue light will appear and disappear.
21. Exit the view item mode. Now click on the seeds and plant them in the now empty vase. A tree will grow. Click on the YYO and place it on the tree.
22. Click the YYO and about item button. Click on the sword and click on the YYO. a yellow flash will occur.
23. Cut off the tree with the sword again. Place the YYO on the empty vase. Get Reimu’s doll (the red-dress and black-hair doll).
24. Go back to where Alice (the blue dress girl) was. Click on her.
25. Trickiest step here: 28th book from the left side of the 4th level (2nd level from top) of the giant bookshelf. There is ‘The Grimoire of Alice’ (the book covered in ribbons)
26. Give Alice’s Grimoire to Alice. She’ll be happy and you get her (????)
27. Click on Alice and about item button. Click on her and she gives you Marisa’s doll (the witch doll)
28. Face the wall where you got the red circle hexagon. Now click on a dim region slightly showing on the left hand side of the top of the wall. You’ll see a drawer on the top of the wall. Click on Alice and open the drawer. Obtain Sakuya’s doll (the silver hair doll)
29. Go back to the place where you got Tewi’s doll (the rabbit eared doll). open the cupboard and click on the box with dolls standing on it.
30. Now place your dolls on the box in the following order: Sakuya’s doll (silver hair doll) on the left of Cirno’s doll (the fairy-like doll with a green ribbon on her hair), Reimu’s doll (red-dress & black hair doll) on the right side of Cirno’s doll, Marisa’s doll (witch doll) to the left of Youmu’s doll (the green dress doll), Medicine’s doll (red-dress & yellow hair doll) on the left of Marisa’s doll, Tewi’s doll (rabbit ear doll) on the remaining spot.
31. Face the mirror on the right side of the giant bookshelf. Click on it. Marisa and Alice’s reflection will appear on the mirror. Click on the paper to the left side of the mirror.
32. Click on the three symbols until the following colors appear: Blue on the top, Blue on the middle, Tangerine on the bottom. Click on the red button.
33. The mirror will disappear. NOW LET’S GET OUT OF THE LIBRARY!!!

…well, u were close, but there are some remaining steps.

34. Patchouli Knowledge (the purple dress girl) will appear. Use all 5 items on Patchouli: Master Spark Charge (wooden octagon), Magic potion (bottle of water), seeds, sword, and wooden stick.
35. Get out! Go back to the place where you opened the YYO. The YYO will still be there. Get it and go back to Patchouli and click on the YYO and click on her.
