2013 Tribal Canoe Journey – Paddle To Quinault
This is the first time in my life to be in a canoe let alone paddle 180 miles.
I tried to keep a daily log of what I saw and how it was.
It’s a bit hard to paddle and take pictures at the same time.
This slideshow/video is 1 1/2 hours long and is as close as I can get to sharing the experience and what it is like to feel the pain that the ancestors felt, to see the world through their eyes, and face the same dangers that they faced.
This journey has been one of the highlights of my life.
Thank you for coming by and letting me share it with you.

Wow! So very cool. Was flipping the canoe an accident? Hard to believe that you’re first trip on a canoe was that far. I’ve been on quite a few canoes, and for me, about 6 miles makes me start to whine. Good on you. I look forward to checking out your other videos (I’m a professional musician, I enjoy seeing others making music).
One of the requirements for making the journey is cold water training. We have to roll the canoe, get back in, bail it out, and paddle back to the marina. Next year it’s over 400 miles to Bella Bella BC! Takes a month to get there.
Muy bueno! Felicitaciones! Estoy viendo el video en partes, porque es largo! muy muy lindo… :)

I haven’t watched all the video yet, it is quite long ;-)
Nice to have you back WW! :-)
Just think how long it would have been if I had a helmet cam! lol
Next year it’s close to 400 miles to Bella Bella BC.
