Tower Bloxx is another one-button game similar to Thor Towers, with a really simple concept: stacking blocks to create towers. Created in 2005 by Digital Chocolate, this popular mobile phone game is now free to play.
The game features two modes, Quick game and Build city. In the Quick mode, a crane swings each block from side to side. Your goal is to build a tower as high as possible. Use you left button or the spacebar to drop the block onto the block below: the straighter you make the structure, the more inhabitants move in. The Quick game ends after three missed drops.
In the Build City mode, your goal is to fill a whole down town using four types of buildings (10 to 40 floors) that must be placed with specific location guidelines. You begin with residential units that are 10 blocks high and as your city’s population grows, new building types are unlocked.
Tower Bloxx is a nice combination of action, puzzle and strategy elements that offers much more depth than simple stack tower games.

Actually I’m trying to work out the best way to build the city. The four types of tower block are:
Blue (10 levels) - can go anywhere
Red (20) - needs to have a blue next to it
Green (30) - Needs a red and a blue next it
Yellow (40) - needs blue, red and green next to it.

I love this game, but what is the strategy for the layout for getting the most population? In other words, do you start off by placing a blud block in the center, on the corners, what? I just can’t get much above 7000.

I got to 32,000! You need to start putting blue blocks everywhere. Then put red blocks in the squares next to the corner squares. Then make sure there is also a blue next to each corner. Then you can put a green in each corner. Then put a green in the middle. Then a blue in each “one in, one down from the corners”. Then a red in the middle of each side. Now you are able to put down twelve yellows in diagonal “stripes” and you can get over 30,000 peeps. Make sure you get really good greens and reds, cos you can’t change them later.
