Virtual Families is the latest virtual life simulation game released by Last Day of Work, the team behind the very popular Virtual Villagers series, Plant Tycoon and Fish Tycoon.
In the game, players adopt a character who then begins a life: choosing if they want to marry, deciding whether to have children, furthering their career, all with the help and guidance of the player.
Virtual Families focuses on the true aspects that make a family unique, from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows, displaying life in all its drama and glory.
Virtual Families runs in true real-time, meaning that when the player’s computer is shut off, the game continues to progress, with the family members evolving and growing, based on what the player has taught them, even when no one is interacting with them. The game is set in bucolic suburbia and features a gorgeous hand-drawn scrolling map with a house and garden. It employs sophisticated artificial-intelligence and a varied selection of characters with quirky personalities to adopt and take care of.
There are various hurdles that appear throughout Virtual Families, from moral dilemmas – including whether or not to keep a package that was inadvertently delivered to your home, or if you should send your daughter to Paris for a modeling contract – to real-life situations such as illness, allergies, promotions and chores. Also included along the way are mini-puzzles, where family members have to find hidden objects throughout their home and garden, and trophies that can be acquired after reaching various goals throughout their journey.

* What to do to have triplets and twins
* I have a Kitchen level 3, how can I put the oven on fire ????
* There is a Trycicle on the Shed, can we use it???
* It is really hard to get the butterflies for the collections, do we need to water some different flower boxes to get them????
CHEATS I KNOW YOU DON’T HAVE :
* When is raining, the Dog takes you to the UNCOMMON AND RARE items just clik on him and make him walk slow. Never prepare a meal when is raining, the Dog won`t work beacause is eating time and stands by the table !!!
* You can choose your favourite KID to be your next generation, just give him 2 o 3 encyclopedies, and if you want him to bee a Cook, for instance you can start giving him de Cooking books after the encyclopedies So, when you start the new family, he will not only be a cook, he will be in level 6 in less than 24 hours. If you don`t give him an specific book he will become a “Rocket Scientists” earning 105- Novice.
* ENCYCLOPEDY MADE KIDS AND DOGS are perfect !!!!! make sure you put the oven on fire before giving a kid an encyclopedy or he will turn the oven off in a blink. and also, dogs tell warns the family the oven is on !!!!
* TO MAKE A LOT OF MONEY : Forget about the COINS !!!
1. Don’t let any of the Parents to do ANY housework, only the basic Healt Stuff (Taking a Shower). Kids will take care of everything.
2. Don’t buy any of the house upgrades unless you have a level 2 in the Office, Kitchen and Workshop.
3. Don’t buy more food than necessary they only spend about 250 per day. (Cooks spend more)
4. Once they reach level 8 Keep on giving them the books and you can make someone do as much as $1000 per day.
5. When they are old, in their final week make them only WORK !!! since this is when they earn more !!! this is the best moment to save for the 3rd Levels!!!
6. Don`t buy the Bathroom upgrade, they loose a lot of time on this.
* DO NOT LET STUDENTS MAKE THE CLASS IN YOUR KITCHEN IS NOT THE MESS, THE USE ALL THE FOOD YOU HAVE IN THE FRIDGE.
* MYSTERIOUS DELIVERIES :
A) IF THEY CHARGE YOU A LITTLE AMOUNT THEN YOU WILL HAVE THE PAINTINGS OR THE CUSHONS FOR A DISCOUNT.
B) IF THEY ARE NOT CHARCHING YOU ANYTHING AND ONLY SHOWS UP, THE BOX IS FULL OF ANTS AND WILL EMTY THE FRIDGE.
C) IF THE BOYSCOUTS TRY TO SELL YOU SOMETHING, TAKE IT, YOU WILL HAVE FREE 100 OF FOOD IN YOUR FRIDGE
* THE ADOPTED KIDS ACTUALLY ARE MADE TO GET THE TROPHY FOR : SERIOUSLY ILL OR THE VIRUS INFECTION …. THEY WILL ALSO INFECT THE FATHER, THE NEXT DAY …. TIME TO USE THE BLUE SHRYNGE OR THE PENICILYN. SOME TIMES THE MEXICAN CANDYS MAKE PEOPLE REALLY ILL !!!

do you have the garage unlocked? If you do there are fire extinguishers on the left side. If you don’t, take one of your people over to the sand box and they will pick up the door knob. Wait for them to fix the door. Then go to the welcome mat with your person and drop them on that. They will unlock the garage door and you can get one of the fire extinguishers out

to put out the fire you have to unlock the garage to do this get the handle out of the sandpit once your person has done this put them on the welcome mat at the front door they will find the key and unlock the garage in there are fire-extinguishers and watering cans let your person see the fire extinguisher and they will put out the fire

I’m confused about the red ball and when i drag one of the adults the just say confused-sees key. what Does that mean? How do we get the Key and the doorknob from the sond box ???
I’ve been playing for several generations and cannot have triplets or marry the person with the same career. I also cannot cure anyone of a grave infection. Any tips on how to get these last 3 trophies?

what can I do to change that status back to “happy”
I let them at night so they can get some sleep.
I read through the tips..
By giving them vitamins or energy juice. Will that help to get rid of the “elated”?
Or let them run on their own device; will it help?

Vallerie: wouldnt have a clue, but the baby-boost syringe might help with the triplets? a grave infection: if someone is sick, dont cure them for a while then check if they have an infection [with a doctors consultation] and if they need vancomycin then it is a grave infection :)

Can anyone say y this happened to me?
One day night i just again tried a baby and i got it. The next i was excited to see that i cd see the baby grown and i hv reached the 4th family.But that full day i cud not on the computer because i had a big party.I think i left them atleast for 10 hrs.
When i opened it the next day i saw that some other family was there!And that was the first family in the family tree.All my progress was lost.My swimming pool,hammock,radio,air purifer,the walls i repaired was damaged. Everything gone.How did this happen?Anyone tell please!

Could someone please tell me how I can save my dying parents money?? Each time a new generation starts the money that is saved goes when they do so the only money that comes into the house is what the kid brings in.

does anyone know how to fix the fountain?
to fix the fountian you need the fountian pump from the store. The store’s items should change about every day. as soon as you have the pump, place it onto the fountian. oh, you also need to wait for water proof tape for the back hose first. to fix the hose place the tape onto it then make one person use water. take a shower, wash dishes, etc. while the first person is using the water, put an adult on top of the broken hose. once the hose is fixed put two people on top of the pump. GL!
If you dont want to wait, just change the time on your computer, it will change the game time too.

when the people are sad make them take a shower 2 times in a row then drag their kids on top of them.

There is a way to get all the money you could ever need. All you need to do is download a program called “cheat engine” As far as it working to change anyth9ing else I have not gotten it to work but it does work to get lots of money. After you download “cheat engine” go to wonderhowto.com to learn how to use it.

i saw something about losing your saved money when you change generations. if you notice, the money the kid brings in is the same amount as what you had before. the paren’s money just gets transferred to the kids:)
Dear wasera, think what happened is they all just died, and the game automatically reset. did you leave a lot of food in the fridge? there’s nothing to do but start over and don’t leave them for so long while young or prwegnant.

yippie my the wife just had a baby and she is 50!!!!!! so excited! this time I’m keeping the generation alive!!!! I have the ipod touch lite version so I can only have 1 child so it is very important that I keep that one child alive to inherit the house!!!
Okay well first of all adoption is by chance believe me I Know. Now can any one help me out.okay so I bought basically evey thing in the section in the store that has the pool and the tv and stuff,then I fixed the fountain and repaired all the cracks in the floor. The house looks nice,but I dont know how to fix the hose and the wall repair compound hasn’t showed up yet.HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW:A cool way to get money is praise someone who is making a meal then leave a bunch of food in the frigde.Go to the menu or quit,then change the time on your computer.I change it by a couple of days but you do it how you like. Another thing when the kids go to college,I normally change the time on the computer by a few days and then I come back and the parents are dead and that’s when you choose which child will take over.

after about 20 generations… it starts a new generation.. but that person already shows how ever many kids are from the prior generation.. and so the get married option never comes up.
just a warning.. the game eventually ends
