   I removed the labels from the 3 jars…I’ve seen inside the bamboo shoot and moved one of the rocks (which keeps moving back). Looked behind the bamboo screen and saw the back of the rock back there (it has 3 indentations for items). Saw the handle of the sword and the bottoms of the bamboo shoots.

   Haven’t found any items nor do I know what to do next….Any help?

   Ok, so, actually playing the “Horror Mansion” installment… Can’t find any items yet, although I did notice that

   the crack in the wall above the round window looks like an arrow pointing up… If you click above it, you zoom to the ceiling where there is a hole. Don’t know what to do with it, though.

   I’m thinking that the soy sauce can be taken from the right jar (since it’s a hot spot) and poured on the white sand at the zoomed-in section at the bottom of the bamboo (probably to reveal a code or something).

   Anybody else playing? My clicking finger is getting tired….I’m not a good pixel hunter…. :(

   Clicking on the right edge of the round window opens it up so that you can enter a code. Combine this with Alexa’s hint about the Kanji… We’re on to something :)

    if you click the back left edge of the table with the sword, there is a white circle, in which you can vaguely see a square. I’m thinking if the window were shaded or if something were put on the table or something, it’d say “square = number”…

    With a little bit of “cheating”:

    I entered “357” into the round window code box – I knew the “3” from the kanji that Alexa pointed out and just started trying numbers after that. What? It’s only 99 guesses to go through.

    Anyhow, after entering that, Show

    there was a key with a picture of Mt Fugi on it under the rock by the bamboo stalks. I put this into the back of the water bowl thingy behind the bamboo screen.

    There doesn’t seem to have been any other change or any new clues at this point, though.

    After inputing the hawk code FD gave us above, you can find the coin among the bottom of the bamboo stalks.

    When you enter the code for the hawk, the round coin thing with a hawk on it shows up at the base of the bamboo stalks. When you enter the code for the eggplant, the comb thing with the eggplant picture shows up on the window sill. All these can be put in the back of the water bowl thing behind the bamboo screen.

    After that, I’m stuck again. *sigh*

    Hm, we kind of did things backwards, I think, and I think it’s my fault for guessing at the values of the # and x instead of finding them… We don’t need the things that Show

    go in the back of the basin – the water runs without them in there. I don’t know how they change things by putting them into the slots back there. I tried putting the key from the box behind the round window into the key slot on the water bowl, but it wouldn’t go.

    So, yeah, no clue what the final code is yet, either… Been trying all sorts of combinations based on the sheets of paper, but to no avail.

    The # is in the bottom of the bamboo full of water after you put the stick in the ceiling. Don’t recall if I saw the x anywhere though. :(

    Hawk = square, which is on the table by the sword. It’s easier to see once you’ve put the stick in the hole in the ceiling. Its value is 8. Unfortunately, neither 382 nor 283 work on the door. :(

    Hahaha, Gena, I think you’re right: We did the whole game backwards. A lot would have been easier had we found things in the right order!

    Where the ‘x’ is (and I assume how to get out):

    When looking at very front of water bowl behind bamboo screen (i.e. where you would be to click left to see the cup) click in the very top right-hand corner.

    I NEVER would have figured that out.

    I was curious about the screen, because it had “x” all over it where the bamboo was tied together, so I clicked all over, but I didn’t ever find that. *sigh*
