Your little band of villagers has washed up on a remote island, and they’re lost and confused. Now what?
There are two basic objectives in Virtual Villagers: successfully managing the day-to-day routine of your little band of castaways, so that they are able to thrive in their new home, and unlocking the mysteries of Isola. The former is absolutely necessary to make sure that your little villagers survive, which will allow you to pursue the second objective of solving the puzzles.
The trick is in finding the right balance between the two. The more villagers you have, the faster they can research new technologies and solve the puzzles, but having too many mouths to feed can quickly deplete available food supplies and spell disaster for your tribe!
The first thing you need to work on in Virtual Villagers is making sure that your villagers’ basic needs are met. Their most urgent need is food, which you’ll find in limited supply at the berry bush. They will soon need additional housing, too, and there is already a partially completed hut that your builder can get to work on. Turning on tutorial mode (Help) the first time through the game will help familiarize you with the mechanics of playing Virtual Villagers.
A good strategy for success early in the game is to make sure that you keep the food supply above the 300-400 level, if at all possible. Your villagers will be less worried about food, and much more productive if you do that. Don’t be in too big a rush to create a baby boom, or you might find yourself scrambling to save your tribe from the brink of starvation.
There are some important points to keep in mind as you develop your own strategy for playing Virtual Villagers:
Most of the puzzles are dependent upon some combination of Village Tech, villager skills, and other puzzles. Although some puzzles depend upon the completion of specific puzzles, the 16 puzzles are rarely completed in the order that you see them on the puzzle screen. Pay attention to the things that your villagers are curious about and the messages that you see when you take one of your villagers “exploring†around the island. These often provide clues that will help you solve the puzzles. Another good strategy is to drag one of your adult villagers around the island after every tech purchase and look for new things that they can work on. Most of the frustration related to solving the puzzles is brought on by impatience. It takes time for your villagers to gain the necessary skills and technology to work through all of the puzzles.

I CANNOT FIND THE SHINY ROCK….I HAVE COMPLETED ALMOST EVERYTHING…I CANNOT FIND THE TREASURE BUT THE SHINY ROCK IS NOT ON THE WEST SIDE…IS IT UNDER THE LOGS?
I cant find the treasure!…ive looked between the food bin and the temple and i cant seem to get in the right place or something.
After you put the nursing mother in the Lagoon and the Golden Child is created, take him to the Magical Garden. Drop him in it, and his Action will be:Calling Butterflies! Next, take him to the Fruitless Plant, and the butterflies will follow him.Drop him on the plant and the Butterflies will pollenate it.It will then become the Magical Fruit Plant. When your villagers eat it, they will live longer!
I found the Treasure, but how do I open it, and what’s in it? I’ve pulled villagers to it, but their actions say: Admiring the Treasure.

you need to have level two of construction in tech to uncover the lagoon. after that you need to have level three in fertility to make a golden child. drag a nursing mother into the lagoon (full of water) and she will have a golden child. CUTE golden child. :D
I FINALLY FOUND THE TREASURE. WHEN YOUR LOOKIN AT YOUR SCREEN IT IS DOWN FROM THE LEFT CORNER OF THE FOOD BIN &ACROSS FROM THE THIRD TEMPLE. AT FIRST IT LOOKED LIKE THEY WHERE GOING TO BUILD SOMETHING THEN THEY GOT THE CHESS. AND MY TRASURE JUST OPENED UP.

There is NO such thing as a FOOD BASKET.
You CAN NOT open the treasue chest. I think whats inside is Diamonds, Ruby’s etc..

I can’t find the treasure! I have level three construction and science and I keep dropping a master builder in the right spot, but all they say is “Is something buried here?” and then walk away! How do I get them to dig it up?
Should they be fishing in the ocean or the lagoon; and how long does it usually take. I can’t get them to fish. What other source of food other than berries is there?

hey, for the treasure, i use master builder and drag him near the corner u guys hv said and it write “did something buried here?”, then they digging….i put about 20 of them to dig but still take a long time…..did the chest heavy?hahahah….

Ä°f you have enough population ( because some of them will die) and food supply, you can change the pc time, because the game runs real time, so you have higher tech methods

DONT LET THEM GO OUT OF THE CIRCLE!!!!CLICK THEM TO MOVE THEN TO A DIFFRANT SPOT THEN IF THE IT SAYS DIGGING THEN…. YOU FOUND IT!!!!!!
