Here are the 10 nominees in the category Best Room Escape games Developers of 2007, in alphabetical order:

John Feltham (U.K.)

Prism CoreJohn Feltham is a Flash developer from UK. His first two games, Sphere Core and Cube Core were released last October, followed by last month’s Prism Core. His Core series is growing in popularity and was well received by many gamers.

Pierre Gauthier (France)

MuselockPierre Gauthier is a French Flash developer who released Muselock, his first Room Escape game, last summer. The author provided both French and English versions of a very nice-looking and creative game, and we are looking forward to his next game.

Gump (Japan)

Guest HouseGump is a Flash game designer from Japan. He is the creator of Terminal House, Rental House and Guest House. All three games were released this year and each installment is better than the last.

Idac (Japan)

Dona Room 3Noaki Nakashima is a Room Escape games developer from Japan, famous for his popular Dona Room series. The author released new Room Escape games this year, Unfair Note and Dona Room 3 – Bath Escape. Unfortunately, most of his games are only available in Japanese.

Neutral (Japan)

RGBNeutral is a Japanese Flash Escape games developer: he has produced two challenging and very polished Room Escape games in 2007, Sphere and RGB. Anders Gustafsson (Swede)

GatewayAnders Gustafsson is an independent developer from Swede who mainly works with film and game production. He is well known in the Flash games community for his very popular Point’n’Click Adventure series Gateway. The second installment in the series was released last March.

Gionatan Iasio (Italy)

WarbearsGionatan Iasio is a Flash games designer from Italy and the brilliant mind behind the Warbears series. Warbears Mission 2 and Mission 3 were released this year, and the author is already working on the upcoming fourth installment in the series, “Underwater”.

Makibishi Studio

Makibishi ComicMakibishi Comic is a very creative and original Point’n’Click adventure game created by Makibishi Studio of Japan (their site really deserves a visit!) Makibishi Comic is loaded with fascinating artwork and the overall quality is impressive!

Bernd Mattiebe (Germany)

WoggerBernd Mattiebe is a German artist and designer. He is also the man who gave life last year to Wogger, a cute red alien. Since then, he has created over 100 chapters for the Wogger Mini series that more and more people enjoy playing every week.

Dan Russell-Pinson (U.S.A.)

Tipping PointDan Russell-Pinson has been programming since the early 80’, but he only started learning Flash a few months ago. Last August, he released the first chapter of Tipping Point, a very promising series of adventure games, and the second chapter went live a few weeks ago.

Federico Rutenberg (Argentina)

EsklavosFederico Rutenberg released the first chapter of Esklavos last April. Esklavos is a Point’n’Click Adventure series involving two young aliens. Since then, he has created 9 more chapters and Esklavos is quickly becoming popular series.

Dwarf CompleteOn of Eyezmaze, the creator of the hugely popular Grow series has released several games this year, with major hits like Dwarf Complete or Grow Island, along with a few others like Neighbours, Grow Nano vol.2 and Galves Adventure.

Mateusz Skutnik (Poland)

Covert FrontMateusz Skutnik defines himself as a Flash games architect and a graphic novel artist. His best known adventure/escape series so far is Submachine (with two new chapters this year, Submachine 4 and FLF). He also started two new adventure series this year, Covert Front and Daymare Town. The author is now developing “Submachine 5: the Root” that should be released in January.

Trickysheep (New Zealand)

Anika OdysseyTrickysheep is a digital publisher based in New Zealand. The 21st of November, they released Anika’s Odyssey – Land of the Taniwha, “a magical adventure deep into a lush and enchanted land”. The game was coded by Jeff Nusz, the author of another original adventure game released this year, Sprout, with art by Tom Robinson.

Damien Clarke (Australia)

BloxorzDamien Clarke is a Flash game designer from Australia. Many of his games are co-sponsored by several major games portals, which is a sign of quality. The author has released two excellent puzzle games this year, Silversphere and Bloxorz.

Creative Units (Germany)

ExcitCreative Units is a German development and games design company that created Excit earlier this year. Excit is a very nice viral Flash game that borrows from RoadBlocks and its clone Orbox B heavily, but it takes the original idea to a whole new level!

GamePure (Japan)

Micro ArtGamePure is a Flash game design studio from Japan. GamePure has released many action games this year, such as Speed Cluster, Oshidama or the very cute Bound Bear series. They have also created a very unique Collapse-type game, Micro Art, impressive on many levels.

Stephen Harris (New Zealand)

BloonsStephen Harris is the author of the Bloons series and many other successful games. The original Bloons game was released last March and became an instant hit. Since then, Stephen has created Bloons World, a site dedicated to Bloons fans, two “Bloons” Tower Defense games, and a few other puzzle/skill games!

Yoshio Ishii (Japan)

Hoshi Saga 2From japan, Yoshio Ishii has been designing Flash games for several years now. He is well known for his Neko Series, a series of games involving cats. In 2007, he decided to focus on creating puzzle games, and released some very creative games such as Plupon, the amazing Hoshi Saga series, and more recently, Slidon.

Taro Ito (Japan)

Chat NoirTaro Ito, the game designer behind Gamedesign, has released many games over the years, and this year was no different with four new puzzle game titles, Porolith Flash, The Four Color Problem, School Wars and Chat Noir.

Sola Rola - THe Gravity MazeAdam Schroeder is the creator of the very challenging and delightful puzzle game Sola Rola. He also released the third (and final?) installment in his Asteroids Revenge earlier this year, and is now co-working on Argue (About Everything) with a fellow developer, a multiplayer real-time strategy game set for release next year at Kongregate.

Bubble Struggle 2 - RebubbledKreÅ¡imir Cvitanović created Bubble Struggle also know as Bubble Trouble in 2002. The game was an instant success, so he decided to make a sequel. Five years later, the very long awaited Bubble Struggle 2 – Rebubbled was finally released. Fortunately, the sequel was worth the wait!

Donut Games (Swede)

Sunday LawnDonut Games is a Flash games portal operated by Swedish Game Development, located in Malmö, Sweden. The team behind the site has released several original games during the first half of this year, such as Castle Smasher, Chicken and Egg, Sunday Lawn or Lucky Coins.

Joel Esler (Australia)

FoldJoel Esler is a Flash game developer from Australia. Last September, he uploaded at Kongregate his first game, a physics-based platformer named Manifold. Even though Manifold was only a demo, it was an instant hit. After a few weeks, Joel released Fold, a full version of his previous game with much more challenging levels!

Case Hollingsworth (U.S.A.)

OrangeCase Hollingsworth is a young artist from Lincoln, Nebraska (U.S.A.). His Simple Defense game, Red, was a huge success last year. Orange, the second installment in his “Colors” series was released last March and Case is now working on Black. He also recently released 5 differences, a beautiful game of comparisons.

CapsulesJp is a French Flash game developer and the webmaster of Pepere.org. Jp only released two Flash games in 2007, Crazy Mammoths, a racing action game, and the excellent Capsules, a surprisingly challenging skill/puzzle game.

Lewis Mitchell (Australia)

PlatformLewis Mitchell from Australia is the author of a Shockwave episodic platformer, Platform, in which you must guide two young characters to the end of each level. Each week, the author adds a new level, challenging enough to keep you coming back for more.

Nitrome (U.K.)

Hot Air 2Nitrome is a well known London-based games design studio that has released news Flash games in 2007 at an impressive pace. With 13 titles released in 2007 at the time of writing, Nitrome is a serious contender in the Arcade/Platform category.

Alexandre Renevey (Switzerland)

Bubble IslandsAlexandre Renevey is game developer from Switzerland. He released Bubble Islands last January, an impressive retro-style arcade/puzzle game inspired by Puyo Puyo, a game developed in 1991 by the Japanese company Compile. This game was a finalist of the 2007 IGF Festival in the Best Web Browser Game category.
