RaidenX is a vertical scrolling shoot’em up released in June 2005. This excellent arcade shooter was written by a young and talented developer, GoOgley, who was only 13 when the game spread up on the Web.

RaidenX was directly inspired from the original arcade game developed in 1990 by Seibu Kaihatsu.

The goal here is simple: your mission is to avoid enemy fire while shooting and destroying everything else through the 8 levels of the game.

You control your fighter with the arrow keys; press X to drop a bomb that will destroy all enemies on the screen and Z to fire. Use the different power-ups available and destroy the final boss at the end of each level.

With its very nice graphics, tons of enemies, three levels of difficulty, a save option and a very fast paced gameplay, I should have recommended RaidenX before.
