Lightning pool is so far the best pool simulation I’ve ever played online. Developed by lightning Games, a wholly owned subsidiary of 3rd Sense, the game features 18 different levels, each of them with 6 red balls and a black one. As in almost any pool games, the object here is to clear the table by sinking all the balls within the time limit.

Several power-ups will appear on the table such as watches that give or take away extra-time or coins (collect them to unlock the secret levels). Avoid lightning or the game ends immediately.

Use your mouse to aim your cue, press and hold the left button until you reach the desired power and then release it. Not hitting a ball or sinking the white ball will costs you a four-second penalty.

As Lightning pool saves your progress, you won’t have to replay any level unless you want to make a better score.

Graphics are nice, physics are great and controls smooth and precise; the game is easy to get into, but beware, this doesn’t mean that the game is easy. Avoiding lighting is challenging, and clearing some levels within the time limit can be tricky…
