Youbari MemoriesYoubari Memories is a new Room Escape game all written in Japanese designed by Masato Miura, the author of the recent Dream Train 2. Youbari Memories looks great, but it’s pretty late here in Brussels, and I have no idea what the goal is, so you are on your own. Have fun!

I can’t even figure out how to close the map!!

  2. Alexa Karuda says:

I wasn’t able to get the game to work on the English page, so I went to the Japanese one.

Click on each city (so far, I think only the ones with stars next to them are available unless we figure out a puzzle or something) to enter that location.

This game is REALLY hard, and I can even read Japanese!

For the mine: when you come across a guy running in place, your job is to drag him to the right, avoiding the falling rocks, until you get him into the next cave entrance.

When you get to the section asking you to check out websites for hints, for the first one:
    Show

  3. Alexa Karuda says:

    The second answer is: Show

  4. Alexa Karuda says:

Oops, there’s one more question. The answer is:
    Show

At least, I think that’s the answer. Nothing special happened when I input it, however….

  5. Alexa Karuda says:

Clicked on dam and started assembling collected panels. Still have 4 panels/tiles to find (numbers 1, 9, 10, 13).

From what I’ve glanced over, this is a tourism promotional game for the Japanese city of Yubari (in Hokkaido).

  6. Alexa Karuda says:

I made a typo in #2 above: I meant ‘left to right.’ Sorry!

  7. Reka says:

The word “interminable” comes to mind. You click one wrong thing and it sticks you back at the beginning of the mine (or whatever it is), where you have to wait for two friggin’ days for it to deign to scroll left (or right, or whatever) so you can continue on to the next bit.

This MIGHT be worth wading through if you know Japanese (although personally, I doubt it). However, if you don’t know the language, it’s just a pointless waste of time.

    looks like a stupid game
won’t even bother to move with it!

  12. Alexa Karuda says:

@goldlox: I know that the second panel is *somewhere* in the mine. Where did you find panels 9 and 10? Also in the mine?

  13. Alexa Karuda says:

@goldlox: Found second panel. It’s in the very first room of the mine, on the far left, in the middle of the very first clump of rocks (halfway up the wall).

  14. Alexa Karuda says:

Correction! The answer to the last question is: Show

I was reading the wrong part or something. When you type that in, you get panel #13. Whew! This game was exhausting.

  15. goldlox57 says:

thanks guys . and yes the others are also in the mine.. sorry can’t remember exactly where tho:(

  16. Martin says:

  18. Alexa Karuda says:

Found pieces #9 and #10: Show

  19. M.E. says:

    I can’t find 9, 11 or 12
I know 9 is supposed to be in the stars but can’t find it. Also, after getting 13, there is a rock in front of the last numbers to push. How do I get rid of the rock?

  20. Alexa Karuda says:

@M.E.: It only appears in the stars after you input the correct answer. The rock appears after you get the right answer to that question; there should be a diamond in the middle of it (unless you took it already). In that case, go to the next room by using the arrow on the right-hand side of the screen.
