Icho – Chapter 6 is the latest episode in the Japanese Room Escape series Icho created by Pixelkobo. The action takes place in the future on an unknown planet.

This one is the follow up to the previous chapter, and you are now trapped in a cell located at the top of a mysterious building…

As usual, Icho 6 features very good rendered 3D graphics!

   various numbers and letters dotted around Show

   1, 3, 5, 4 on walls and R, X, Y, S found so far

   but don’t know what to do with them. Compass seems little help for the N, S, E, W puzzle…..

   Walkthrough (for short ending):

   1. Show

   Zoom on boards on floor, move two of them and get hammer.

   2. Show

   Zoom on window, break bricks with hammer to get some light.

   3. Show

   Note the large figure 1 on the wall with the window.

   4. Show

   Zoom on white board, click on it to reveal a compass. The red arrow points North, and you can figure out the rest of the directions.

   5. Show

   The 4 walls each have a number: N-5 (behind the clock), S-1, E-4 (the 4 is on the crate behind the toolbox with the NSEW), and W-3.

   6. Show

   Open the toolbox by pressing each button the number of times that corresponds to its letter, get jack (but no handle yet). Lift pad at bottom of toolbox, get round thing with a square, and make a note of the hint – each symbol corresponds to a letter from NSEW, and so it also corresponds to a number.

   7. Show

   Zoom on the 2nd blue toolbox, put in the round thing, and press each button the number of times that corresponds to its symbol. Get jack handle.

   8. Show

   Lift the 2 I-beams with the jack, zoom on the paint cans and get the crowbar behind the left one. Click the right paint can, open with the crowbar and get brush.

   9. Show

   Turn round and zoom on closet with the red & blue colors. Click on the white panels until the blue and red panels are enlarged. Use the brush on the lower (blue) panel. Now go back to the paint cans, click on the left one, dip the paintbrush in it, and take it back to paint the top panel. The closet opens and you can now press a button that unlocks the little doors on the door panel. Note the number on the blue/red panels after you close the door.

   10. Show

   Zoom on the door, open the panel, and enter the code. Exit, get in the elevator and push button 2. Enter the new room and put on the special suit.

   11. Show

   Turn right, move right up to the wall, turn right twice, and look down. You can open something on the floor and get a hacksaw. You can now saw through the bars on the window of the original room (floor 3) and escape.

   That was the short ending. There’s plenty more you can do, but I haven’t figured it all out. For example:

   12. Show

   From the elevator move forward, turn right, forward again, turn left. Click on the protrusion in the wall, and get key.

   13. Show

   Go back to original floor (3), and use key to open the spherical locker on top of a barrel. Get “green eye” thing.

   14. Show

   Go back to room on floor 2 (you have to reenter the code to get back out). From the elevator, walk straight ahead and put the green eye on the pedestal. You can now open the panel above the pedestal and enter some code which I haven’t figured out yet. If you’re wrong, you’ll find out painfully what’s in all those round things… (but you easily get another chance).

     hint: Show

     1 is water drops, 5 is pentagram, so the rest is shapes with sides/angle with respective number. Look in room at 3rd floor for alphabet in geometric shapes

       Thanks! With the password, the ending is also short and abrupt. I thought you might be able to get access to other floors through the elevator.
