Still don’t know why.
I got ending 5 of 5 this time (cat & dog ending?) but not too sure what I did different except I didn’t look at any clues on the shelf or try every number on the dials.

Yes, you get Cat and Dog ending (5 of 5) if you open the door in front of the bookcases.
OK, I now have a pink exit door. When I click on it, I have the option of exiting or not. When I exit, I get “exit 4 of 5”. So, there must be other exits.
My door was pink both times. Did you have a different color originally?
I just exited once with a pink door.
The only difference I could find is where you place the door to open it up. First time I got out with 1 of 5 (in view with TV) and this last time I got 4 out of 5 (in front of the chair).
