Gotmail – The Life

The Life is the latest Room Escape game released at Gotmail, where you can play all IDAC’s games (Dot Room, Scratch, Capsule, Red House, Eco Room, Pick Up, Talking Sheep, Prank, The Cage, Ticket, Free Falling to name a few)!

For an unknown reason, you find yourself locked in an unknown place. Look around for useful items and eventually escape from the The Life Room! In Japanese only.

You must register at Gotmail.jp to play the game (if you are not already a member of Gotmail). If you don’t want to register, enter email address [email protected] with password pwdgotmail!

   Me too – by any chance do you come with superb Japanese skills (or none like me)?

   So far I have Show

   a candle (used) and a studded collar.

   I can Show

   lift the lid of the ink pot and have noticed “royal/regal water in a cupboard containing what looks like a key. There are also books 1,2,3 giving clues (possibly to the table lamp?) but they’re Japanese clues.

   Have you gotten any further?

   i’ve just sneaked a peak at EG24 – I get the impression the book symbols change with the game. Maybe wrong. However I tried various 3 number combinations based on Show

   numbers of horses, dogs, fish, birds in the room and opened the glass cabinet.

       There’s a column of 6 and a row of 7. In the Show

       picture there’s 6 numbered dogs and on the calendar 7 highlighted dates.

       With my numbers (don’t know if they vary) Show

    the code for the 3 digit red box is

    6 (number of dogs)
    4 (number of fish in the drawer next to the mirror)
    6 (number of birds if you zoom in the window)
    open the drawer and get a key

    vertical line: dog number order, look at painting and read the number from upper left and down and so on (like reading comic in onemanga^^),

    horizontal line: red number on calendar just line it up from smallest to largest

    after that

    click once on its handle, then click inside and then on top of it is a keyhole.
    use the key to open it.

    I still have to find a use for Show

    the feather (I’m not sure if I’ve successfully inked it) and the collar, bone and curtain tie (and note of course) are still available to be used again. I’ve tried writing on the note and even the dirty curtain tie.

    According to the hints in the mirror, the paint is a character and calender is a number. Show

    See paint formed a character of Japanese “6”, and the calender formed an number “6”, look outside the window see birds formed an number like “1”, my game shows the lamp 1=horse, 2=dog, 3=bird, that’s means 661 for me.

    Finally out with translation help from EG24.

    The message on back of painting says Show

    erase ‘thorn’

    Another note says Show

    animal_number is animal + xxxxxxxx (xxxxxxx yet to be discovered)

    Note in the capsule says Show

    animal_number x dogs’ legs

    Start at the desk lamp: Show

    what animals do you see? There is some discussion as to what is an ‘animal’ – I’m going to use the word mammal as fish and birds DO NOT count. In my case my lamp showed horse, dog, bird. I had 1 horse and 6 dogs (ignore the birds). This gives a 2 digit code of 16.

    To this I add Show

    6 – taken from the message with ^rsixthorn (although anagrammed – if you remove the word thorn you’ll get a number – varies with the game.

    16+6=22

    From the clue above Show

    multiply the number of dogs (6) by the number of their legs:

    6*4=24

    Show

    Multiply these two numbers together (another code in Japanese)

    Show

    In my example 22*24=528 to give a 4 digit code of 0528 – do the maths with your own figures.

    Put this number in the safe Show

    for exit key.

    You really need to read Japanese to play this game – I don’t enjoy having to depend so much on others to solve puzzles.
