If you haven’t already heard about the Einstein’s Riddle, give this Flash riddle a go!
The story behind Einstein’s riddle is that Albert Einstein created it in the late 1800s, and claimed that 98% of the world population couldn’t solve it:
- In a street there are five houses, painted five different colors.
- In each house lives a person of different nationality.
These five homeowners each drink a different kind of beverage, smoke different brand of cigar and keep a different pet.
Einstein’s riddle is: Who owns the fish? Put all 25 answers into the correct slots and be the first to give the answer!

If this story is true , I think old Uncle Albert was a tad bit on the arrogant side. Took under 15 minutes and I don’t believe people were any less logical back then.
I get what you’re saying but try doing it without a computer….I’d imagine it would be an awful lot tougher if you were just given a pen and paper!!

Ah, this took me back to the time I was still a kid…first time I saw it I teared the page to pieces because I couldn’t solve it. I saw it again two years later, only the paper was luckier that time. :D
Knotaklu, it is said that as the years pass people become more intelligent, so you can’t be sure. Not everyone can solve it in our days, either. I do bet the percentage of the “solvers” is way more than 2% of the population, though.

i like these games – logic puzzles. i wish they can make more of these here…..
You just have to be logical and work on what you know first, didn’t take too long, but I think it is easier when you have the moveable houses and tags.

lol. yes, i screwed up, cos when i tried again using my own walkthrough, i got stuck at step 5. i try to rewrite it later :D
