   Well, I’ve made some headway, but looks like language barrier will be a problem here.
   Got one of the 3 house-shaped tiles for the puzzle by the door, but now I’m stuck.

   For the 4 character code (I’m copy-pasting this from a post at “escape games 24”)

   For the Japanese code, you look at the character 寅 on the wall behind where you enter the code. (The character is “yin” in Chinese, and it means first of the lunar calendar.)

   The 上–下 direction on the code box means “top to bottom.”

   So you start at the top of the character and choose the symbol that looks the closest to 宀, which is the Japanese katakana ウ (u).

   Going down from that, the next part of the character is a horizontal line: 一 (meaning “one”)

   As you continue to move down, then next chunk is: ç”± (a “reason/cause”)

   And the final part of the character is å…« (meaning “eight”)

   So the code is: ウ一由八
