For those of you who enjoy Cogito Ergo Sum Room Escape games, here is Snack Escape: Starring Wan, Nyan and Monjiro, a game made in collaboration with Usawan House for No1game. Your goal today is not to escape from the room, but to enter the kitchen and grab some snacks! Have fun!

WALKTHROUGH

COUCH VIEW
Show

– Zoom in on plant. Socks behind plant. Zoom in on box, click question mark for the hint.
– Hint tells you you have to count the lines of the symbols (we come to that in the next step. Zoom out 2x.
– Zoom in on painting, click the house, 4 different symbols appear with 4 different colors.
– The first is pink and has 4 lines, the second red and 5 lines, the third yellow and 6 lines and the last blue with 3 lines.
– In the bottom right of the painting the order of the colors is red, pink, blue yellow, so the code 5436.
– Zoom out, zoom in on the plant, zoom in on the codebox, put the numbers in and press the button.
– Open the skill book and now the dog can jump. Close screen and zoom out.
– Zoom in under the couch, take the remote and zoom out.

GO LEFT (2x), TV VIEW
Show

– Zoom in on clock, turn it around, open cover, take batteries, close screen.
– Use your dog to jump to the red handle. Red jumpy thing comes down. Take Santa’s hat.
– Zoom in on remote (about item), turn it around, open cover, put batteries in, close cover, close screen.
– Use remote on tv, you see 10 images. All you have to do is to write down (or remember) the first letter of every word.
– All first letters together makes the word ‘escapegame’.

GO LEFT, TOOLBOX VIEW
Show

– Zoom in on bottom of curtain and take the coat of Santa. Zoom out.
– Use your dog to jump to the rope.
– Click the rope a few times and two dogs come to pull the rope. After a few moments a key drops. Close screen.
– Click the scratching pole to zoom in. Use key on skill book and open the book. Now the cat can punch. Close screen and zoom out.

GO LEFT, COUCH VIEW
Show

– Zoom in on laptop. The password comes from the tv images and is escapegame. Put in and start the game. You have to find 10 green men.
1) Bottom right of the screen, in/on the green sign.
2) In the middle of the christmas tree (made out of green men).
3) In the yellow robot on the left.
4) In the cloud on/below the rainbow.
5) Bottom left of the screen (only visible when the image is moved to the right).
6) Open the doors of the yellow/brown house on the hill.
7) Top of the screen a hot air balloon that’s flying from right to left (not the little balloons).
8) Click the yellow dog/monkey/cat (what is it) on the mountain. Dark green pops up and it is the 8th man.
9) On the bottom right the men are holding hands. The third one is the green man you want.
10) Shows up to the left of, and hides behind the base of, the christmas tree (made out of green men).
– Now you’ve got a new codeword ‘no1gamenet’. Zoom out.

GO RIGHT, TOOLBOX VIEW
Show

– Zoom in on toolbox, fill in no1gamenet and take the screwdriver. Zoom out.

GO RIGHT, TV VIEW
Show

– Zoom in on door below tv.
– Use your cat to punch it open. Open skill book. Now you’ve sitting on each others shoulders skill.
– Don’t close the book yet. There is another page you can see by clicking on the bottom right of the page. Take the beard of Santa. Zoom out (2x).

GO RIGHT, DOORS VIEW
Show

– Go up, see the bag of Santa, use your two dogs and cat to take it. Go down.
– Zoom in on the panel and use your screwdriver to open it.
– Dress up Santa with hat, coat, socks, beard and bag. Zoom out.
– Click the left door and choose Yes.

NEW ROOM
Show

– Click the present and see it needs a code too. Zoom out.
– Click left under the christmas tree and connect the plug.
– In the christmas tree the lights now make the word santa.
– Zoom in on the present. Fill in ‘santa’ and push the green button.

Out with happy end.

Oh well, here it is:

Show

Click the computer.
Click to apply for the Hint Card.
Click the tree. Get the Santa boots behind it. Note that the box needs a code.
Get the clicker from under the couch.
Click the house on the painting to see some interesting animations.
Turn right. We need a password for the toolbox and a key for the book.
There is a Santa coat by the bottom of the left curtain.
Turn right. Get the batteries out of the clock and put them into the clicker.
Use the clicker on the TV.
Note the first letters of the screens that show up on the TV (escapegame) – that’s the computer password.
Now we have to do a Find the Green Man escape on the laptop computer.
Green men: center of pyramid of men, by box under pyramid,two to the far left of the screen, in the chain of multi-colored men toward the bottom right,in the house, in the hill to the right,
in balloon floating around the right side of the screen, and then in the See Escape Men example picture.
The green men spell out no1gamenet – the’s the password to the toolbox.
Use the screwdrive to open the box on the wall. There’s an underdressed Santa doll there. You need to dress him. We already have coat and boots. Put them on him.
Now back to the box. If you hover the mouse over the question mark, you’ll see a hint (number of lines in each shape is the clue). Click the house in the picture again to see a series of shapes. The shapes have 4,5,6, and 3 lines, respectively. However, you need to order them by color according to the little pictures in the painting (red, pink, cyan(?), yellow) – so 5436 is the box code.
Now you have the jump skill. There are a couple places to use it.
Use it on the rope in the window screen and you’ll get a pink key for the book in that same screen.
Now you have the punch skill.
Turn right. Use the jump skill to pull down the mailbox (and get the Santa hat) and use the punch skill to open the little cabinet door to get a combination skill. Turn the page in that book to get a Santa beard. Punch the mailbox to get a hint card (though the hint comes to us too late now).
Click the up arrow in the screen with the Santa doll and use the combination skill to get Santa’s sack.
Put the last three items on Santa and he’ll unlock the kitchen door.
Go in, plug in the tree, and enter the code (santa).
