Temple Of ZoomThe Temple Of ZoomThe Temple Of Zoom is a platform advergame created by Inbox Digital, the authors of the excellent 3D bike race simulation Down Hill Duel, to support the launch of the new Panasonic Lumix TZ3 camera.

Your challenge here is to help a white little stick man to make his way in each level to the letter W that expands the screen to allow you to see the exit. Try to collect all multiplier bonus flashes BEFORE the blue icons to maximize your score.

Use the arrow keys to move and press the space bar to jump.

The Temple Of Zoom is a good and nicely done platformer. The difficulty is well managed and increases gradually. 25 levels are available and you have an unlimited number of lives to complete them. The game even saves your progress so you can continue later!

Ethan Haas Was Right

Ethan Haas Was RightEthan Haas Was RightEthan Haas Was Right is a mysterious new puzzle game that popped recently from nowhere.

The game features a series of 5 unique puzzles, more or less original and more or less difficult. All of them are played on top of a strange and mechanical orb.

Each time you solve a puzzle, you are rewarded with a video of a man inside a dark room: pay attention to what he says to get clues on how to solve the next puzzle.

It seems that Ethan Haas Was Right may be related to JJ Abrams Top Secret next movie titled Cloverfield.

Anyway, Ethan Haas Was Right is going viral very quickly and is worth playing if you like tricky puzzles.

Get the GlassGet the GlassGet the Glass is an incredible racing board advergame with stunning graphics and animations created by the Swedish web agency North Kingdom for the American got milk campaign.

Your mission is to help the milk-deprived Adachi family navigate/survive all five regions of the board, break into Fort Bridge and get the glass. But be careful! Fort Bridge security is hot on your tail. If they catch up, they’re more than happy to ship you and the Adachis off to “Milkatraz”! Three trips to Milkatraz and the game is over.

Get the GlassTo play, simply click and hold on the dice and release it to roll. The Adachi truck will drive to the corresponding square. There are four different types of squares you can land on, each with its own characteristics. Please read the instructions for further details.

Inspired from the Game of the Goose that was invented a long, long time ago, Get the Glass is amazingly well made and you will hardly find an advergame that has such wonderful animations, graphics, music and humor. It’s truly a must see!

Trysil Twintip

Categories: Advergames, Flash, Free, Games, Online, Sports    - February 28, 2007

Trysil TwintipTrysil TwintipTrysil Twintip is a nice advergame created by the ad agency Agens to promote Trysil, a Norwegian alpine network.

“Set in the beautiful hillsides of Norway’s biggest ski resort, you have access to dozens of jumps, rails and neck-twisting slopes.

Rail-to-rail-action or maximum airtime on the spring jumps? It’s totally up to you!”

Your goal here is to do as many tricks as possible before the time runs out. Use the arrow keys to move your skier in air/on ground and press spacebar to gather power and release it to jump.

You’ll need some practice before you feel comfortable with the controls; but once you get used to them, Trysil Twintip becomes very entertaining.

Overall, another beautifully designed game by the authors of the previously reviewed Stuntsup.

Dona Room 2Dona Room 2Dona Room 2 is the latest Room Escape game released by the Japanese developer Noaki Nakashima.

In this sequel to Dona Room, you stand alone in a kitchen and guess what… you can open the door! Well, you can half-open it, but you won’t be able to leave this room before you get the potato chips bag locked in the cupboard and the piece of cake locked in the fridge!

The game contains some Japanese writings, just like in the original, but you should be able to solve this one even if you’re not a fluent Japanese reader/writer.

Look everywhere closely, collect the items and use them to escape this kitchen!

Have fun! (English version – this version is no more available on Noaki Nakashima’s site)

Down Hill Duel

Categories: 3D, Action, Advergames, Free, Games, Online, Shockwave, Sports    - July 25, 2006

Down Hill DuelDown Hill DuelDown Hill Duel is the latest Shockwave game released by Inboxgames Digital and is a promotional game for the UK clothing brand Fat Face.

In this amazing 3D bike race simulation, you ride a mountain bike and have to get to the finish line as fast as possible, pulling tricks and collecting Fat Face logos as you go to increase your speed boost. Control your biker with the arrow keys and use the space bar to jump/boost.

The best part of the game is the multiplayer option: you can create your own league, invite some friends and then race against them as their top race is played back. In the solo mode, you can also race against your own top race biker: this implementation is really helpful in your attempts to set a new personal record, and adds a lot to the game’s value.

On the downside, there is only one track (with two different routes) available in the game and that’s probably why you won’t spend hours on your bike!

Overall, Down Hill Duel is a superb game, recommended for all 3D simulations lovers, and it definitely deserves a try. Have fun!

Stuntstup

StuntstupAlmost a century ago, diving entered the Olympic Games as a new event. Diving developed in Europe in the 17th century, when gymnasts practiced their acrobatics over water. Now you can safely practice diving with  Stuntstup,  a Flash diving simulation created by the Norwegian ad agency Agens.

Stuntstup-1Stuntstup-2Stuntstup-3The object of the game is to perform a series of three dives, and get for each dive the highest score as possible from the judges. The final score for each dive depends on the level of difficulty, the height of the diver at the apex of the dive, with extra height resulting in a higher score and angle of entry into the water, the straighter you enter into the water, the better.

Stuntstup-5Stuntstup-4You control your diver with the space bar and the arrow keys. Press the space bar to start running on the plate-form, press the space bar a second time to take off and then use the arrow keys and the space bar to perform as many somersaults or twists as possible (you will have to figure out how to make the best combination of movements).

With appealing graphics and a really entertaining soundtrack, Stuntstup is a very original and well done diving simulation, perfect for a hot summer day!

Have fun!
