TG Motocross is the latest game released by David Thorburn available on his website Teagames.com. The object here is to complete a trial race divided in eight different stages as fast as possible.
You control your trial rider with the arrow keys: up to accelerate and down to brake; right and left arrows to lean forward and backward respectively. Use down and right keys at the same time to lean forward while riding to climb steep; lean backward while riding for extra speed by using up and left keys at the same time.
Designs and physics are amazing in TG Motocross and the game looks great. A training option is available: some stages are really hard to complete, and the rider is pretty tricky to control (especially in the last stages like Diablo Canyon). You will need a bit – if not a lot – of practice to get used to it.
Another nice implementation is the map in the upper right window, showing your progress and the next obstacles. On the downside, there is no sound to add intensity to the game, and TG Motocross would have been probably more entertaining with a more powerful motorcycle.
Having said that, just like several other games designed by David Thorburn, TG Motocross is a new challenging and addictive game. Have fun!

Teagames.com was founded by the British designer David Thorburn and has been established since 2003. Teagames.com is very well known website from the online gamers community.
You will find on David’s website all the games he has developed until now. Many of them involve driving a truck (Funky Truck) or a bike (BMX); graphics of almost all of them include pastel colors and a very ‘unique’ design.
Physics are great and games are usually released every month. Here is a selection of the most interesting and addictive ones…
Orangutwang
Orangutwang, the last game released until today has a quite different game play than the usual setup of most famous David Thorburn games. The object here is simply to swing a stretchy Orangutan from ring to ring and help him collecting babanas before the time runs out. Use your mouse and hold on the left button to select a member’s end and drag it on a ring. Avoid Arachnids and wasps.
As usual with Teamgames, graphics and physics are perfect. On the downside, the 60 seconds delay to complete a level is probably a little bit to short for those who just want to relax during a break. Anyway, everyone should enjoy playing a few minutes with Orangutwang. Not the best game ever, but an original and very well designed one. Have fun!
Funky Truck Arizona
The latest version of the Funky Truck series. The game puts you as a driver of a Funky Truck that you can customize in the main menu. The object of the game is to drive as fast as you can through 9 different stages from beginning to end, keeping your truck clean and undamaged.
Use the practise option to get familiar with the truck (arrow keys to control the truck), and enjoy the amazing physics implementation. A really nice little and simple game, allowing you to attempt some triple back somersaults with a 4WD to get extra bonus points – Wow! Have fun!
Blueprint
Blueprint is puzzle/physics type game. The object of the game is to arrange the different objects on the play filed so that when the ball is released, it will end onto the target. Use the mouse to drag and drop the objects the way you like, then click the start button to launch the ball.
Difficulty increases as the levels progress, although the different levels may be completed in any order. Of course, the downside of the game is that once you have completed a level, there is no interest to redo that same level again. A great game for a 10 minute break. Have fun!
BMX Highlands
The latest version of the BMX series. The game puts you as a biker ; the object of the game is to ride the slopes and hills of the Highlands, exploring the 9 different levels of the game looking for keys (3 per level) and try to make successful stunts to get extra bonus points.
With really nice animation and physics, the game looks great and is easy to play; you can control your biker with the arrow keys: up for peddling forward; left to lean back; right to lean forward and down to brake. Use your space bar to turn around and Ctrl to recover from a crash. You will have probably to practice for a while before mastering this game, but it really worthes it! Have fun!

Richard Pendry, the co-creator of Mousebreaker, was kind enough to grant FreeGamesNews an interview, which was conducted over email (thanks Rich!).
FreeGamesNews: Could you please introduce yourself and give us a quick history on Mousebreaker?
Rich: Hi, my name’s Richard and I’m one of the guys behind Mousebreaker. We’ve been working together for around six years now – we began as a small game development business in 2001, developing mainly sports-oriented “sticky” games for a broad range of clients who wanted to increase or entertain their visitors. The Mousebreaker.com website, which we initially built to showcase these games, has grown over the years to become a good-sized game portal with a regular audience.
FreeGamesNews: How many people are working at Mousebreaker and how did the team come together?
Rich: We’re a very small team – only two of us work full-time, which means we’re always very busy. But we also work with various freelancers and independent developers we know.
FreeGamesNews: How did you decide to open new games portals, such as blastbilliards.com or playapal.com?
Rich: Both of those sites – as well as flashcricket.com and playforyourclub.com – quickly developed a distinct audience so it made sense to give them dedicated sites. But we try to encourage a lot of movement between the sites, and try to make sure they all have the Mousebreaker style.

Polar Drift is the latest game released by David Thorburn on his website, Teagames.
The goal here is to race your snowmobile on eight different tracks, “and take a shot at the top times”!
Use the arrow keys to move your snowmobile. Don’t expect to ride your snowmobile like a pro after two minutes: driving it is pretty tricky on the icy tracks and you will need to practice for a while to get used to the controls!
There are no other racers on the track, but you can race against your “ghost” (a recording of your best time) by playing again the same race. Without that feature, the game wouldn’t have been near as fun.
Collect stars to reduce your time, use the turbo pads for a speed boost and don’t forget to tweak and tune your snowmobile for optimal performances.
And if you think that the high score pages have been hacked, think again and ask yourself how did some players take a shortcut on the open sea…

TG Motocross 2 is out! “The popular dirt bike time trial series continues with fresh new challengesâ€. Here is what David Thorburn wrote about his first famous TG Motocross sequel released today on his website teagames.com.
Thorburn didn’t only design new levels: he revamped the graphics, and more important, make the game much easier to play than the original episode. The result is a motorbike that is much more fun and less tricky to ride, and I would definitely recommend this one to occasional gamers.
You still control your trial rider with the arrow keys: up to accelerate and down to brake; right and left arrows to lean forward and backward respectively. Use down and right keys at the same time to lean forward while riding to climb steep; lean backward while riding for extra speed by using up and left keys at the same time.
With 7 levels available and 4 more coming soon, TG Motocross 2 is better than the original in every way, and really deserves a try!

Pitch ‘n’ Putt is the latest game just released by the talented David Thorburn on his website, Teagames.com. The object here is to complete a challenging 9-Hole Par 35 golf course, as fast and as much under par as possible.
Press the space bar to start your shot. Press the space bar again to set the power and press the space bar a last time to set the loft. It sounds easy to play, but like almost every golf game, it is pretty tricky to control: you’ll need some practice and it will probably useful to play the whole course once just to get used to. Don’t forget to use the arrow keys to check the fairway and locate the green, the bunkers and other obstacles that can affect your shots.
As always, Pitch ‘n’ Putt features the same realistic physics and animation as other Thorburn games. My only complain is that there is no global view of the fairway (a map in the upper right corner of the screen, such as the one implemented in TG Motocross would have been definitely helpful), leading to some confusion during your first shots.
Overall, Pitch ‘n’ Putt is a simple and elegant golf simulation designed by David Thorburn, perfect for a ten minute break!

Blueprint is a puzzle/physics game reviewed a few weeks ago (read this post). The goal is to arrange the different objetcs on the playfield so that when the ball is released, it will end onto the target. David Thorburn has updated his website Teagames and has added 7 brand new levels to the game. Have fun!
