Categories: Flash, Free, Games, Online, Room Escape   15 comments - September 28, 2012

Submachine 8 – The Plan, the eighth installment in the most popular Room Escape series ever created, is finally live!

“Plot: although for a large part unknown, it is known that we are following Murtaugh to Layer 5 through his karma portal and that Mur is after the ones who buried him alive inside the lighthouse of Kent.

The title could reference Mur’s plan for the Subnet, Liz’s plan for Mur, or the Subnet’s plan for the intruders (whatever those plans might be). Also it could be a plan to get the Player out of the Subnet for good.”

Submachine 6Submachine 6Submachine 6 – The Edge, the sixth installment in one of the most – if not the most, popular Room Escape series ever created, is live!

After a long wait of 19 months, this new episode created by Mateusz Skutnik looks just awesome.

Arcadetown, the sponsor, states on their site the Submachine series is famous for mind-bending puzzles and incredible graphics and fantastical locations, and Submachine 6 is no exception. Mateusz style is unique and each new episode gains in quality as the developer skills improve: Submachine 5 – The Root is no exception!”

Visually and esthetically, it’s even better, and Skutnik masters his art. Some players complained that it’s too easy, but all in all, this new episode is just great! Highly recommended!

Have fun!

Go and retrieve the three “wisdom gems”, lost in the subnet, and don’t forget to look for the secrets hidden in the game.

Submachine 2

Categories: Flash, Free, Games, Online, Room Escape, Video walkthrough, Walkthrough   101 comments - June 14, 2006

Mateusz Skutnik (a.k.a. Murtaugh), a Flash developer and graphic designer from Poland, has just released a sequel to Submachine.

The first episode was launched in September 2005 and upgraded a month later. It’s an easy Room Escape game, with logical puzzles and 20 rooms to explore, perfect for beginners who are not really familiar with this kind of games.

In this sequel, The Lighthouse, the author has improved almost everything. More rooms to explore (98 instead of 20), more puzzles to solve, 20 hidden secrets to find (look closely everywhere!), and of course, due to this bigger, with 98 rooms to explore, tricky puzzles and 20 secrets (small red balls) hidden everywhere and usually hard to find (look closely).

Due to all these improvements and with its particular style emphasized by attractive graphics and nice sound effects, Submachine 2 is an excellent new Room Escape game, even with a few minor glitches here and there.

I’m looking forward to seeing what Murthaugh will implement in the third installment of Submachine series!

Iron Works

Categories: Arcade, Flash, Free, Games, Online   1 comment - March 17, 2008

Iron WorksIron WorksIron Works is a nice Bust-A-Move clone developed by Mateusz Skutnik, the creator of Submachine and Covert Front series.

The object of the game is to clear each level by using the iron ball launcher. Shoot the colored balls to link 3 or more of the same color and make them disappear from the board.

Iron Works is a very fun game to play, even if it is not as good as Frozen Bubble.

That being said, if you are a fan of this type of game, Iron Works is definitely worth a try!
