Submachine 6Submachine 6Submachine 6 – The Edge, the sixth installment in one of the most – if not the most, popular Room Escape series ever created, is live!

After a long wait of 19 months, this new episode created by Mateusz Skutnik looks just awesome.

Arcadetown, the sponsor, states on their site the Submachine series is famous for mind-bending puzzles and incredible graphics and fantastical locations, and Submachine 6 is no exception. Mateusz style is unique and each new episode gains in quality as the developer skills improve: Submachine 5 – The Root is no exception!”

Visually and esthetically, it’s even better, and Skutnik masters his art. Some players complained that it’s too easy, but all in all, this new episode is just great! Highly recommended!

Have fun!

Putt BasePutt BaseIn Putt Base, a “physics think aim try error try succeed puzzle game created by Jaycee Santos, your goal is to get your ball in the hole within the shortest path and time.

Use your mouse to set the ball’s direction, drag extra blocks onto the playfield (they are located in the top left box of the game window) and press buttons.

Different types of blocks are available along the way; the less you use the higher the score you get. An in-game basic tutorial level is available.

The physics engine used in Putt Base is not top-notch quality, but if you enjoy golf games and/or Incredible Machine-like games, you should give this game a try.

Fantastic Contraption

Categories: Flash, Free, Games, Online, Physics, Puzzle, Walkthrough   251 comments - July 11, 2008

Fantastic ContraptionFantastic ContraptionFantastic Contraption is a physics-based puzzle game similar to Armadillo Run or The Incredible Machine developed by Colin Northway.

Your goal here is to get the pink object located in the light blue area to reach the pink area. To do so, simply drag and drop some wheels and sticks in  the play field (available in the tool menu at the top of the game window) and build a contraption that can overcome the obstacles.

You are not given a lot of choices for tools, but that’s what make Fantastic Contraption a fun and interesting game.

The first 20 levels are free to play in Fantastic Contraption; unfortunately, you will have to register for $10 if you want to make your own levels and play levels other people have made.

Have fun!

Launchball

Categories: Flash, Free, Games, Online, Puzzle   83 comments - October 5, 2007

LaunchballLaunchballLaunchball is a new physics-based puzzle game created by the folks at Preloaded (do you remember CDX?) for the Science Museum in London to promote their new Launchpad gallery that will open its doors on Saturday 24 November.

The object here is to use different type of blocks and place them on the grid so that when the ball is released, it will reach the “goal”.

Each type of blocks has its own characteristics. To display them at the bottom of the game window, simply move your mouse over a block. The blocks available to complete each level are located in the bottom left corner of the game window. Click and drag them on the grid, and then click the test button to see the result.

Similar to games like The Incredible Machine, Crazy Machines or Blueprint, Lauchball is nicely designed and features 30 stages, 29 types of blocks, 3 levels of difficulty and a level editor that allows you to create and share your own levels!

Have fun!

Update: Launchball got dugg and you may experience some downtimes. If so, please come back later.

Update 2: “Sorry! Launchball has been a bit of a victim of its own success – we have had to take it down temporarily. Watch this space…” That’s what you can read now on the game’s page. So again, please come back later!

Update 3: 10-05-07 – Launchball is live – again!
