Wheels of SalvationWheels of SalvationWhat happens when a cool Flash game with an interesting and new concept is launched? After a while, a remake or a sequel to the original game is released, sometimes better, sometime worse.

“Dr Carter and the Wheels of Salvation” was released on miniclip.com mid 2005, and borrows the concept of High Wheels, a game design by Tonypa. Only a few people know that Tonypa worked for Miniclip on this sort of sequel to his game, changing the code and adding some extra features for the occasion.

Ben Gillbanks, a web designer and games developer, well known in the blogosphere for his famous WordPress Regulus theme (the one used here on FreeGamesNews!), worked on the Wheels of Salvation and improved graphics, animations and music to turn the original game into something more appealing for the online gamers. The question now is which one do you prefer, between the original and its remake? Have fun!

    Well I know which I prefer :)

Of course my version wouldn’t have been possible without Tonys original to work from so the credit should be (and is) his.
