    Other things I’ve found:
    - Business card in trashcan with 01582 on back
    - In the misspelled Bloggers Wanted ad, there’s the same phone number as the note in the basement (696-1568), except the 8 has been crossed out and a 4 written underneath
    - In the doghouse, click in the top left corner to get a lighter, turn on the lighter, move the bone, and read a snippet of a story which implies that a 5 is replaced by a 3.
    - In the hole in the wall, click the top right corner and read a snippet of an article about 1 = 0 and big fat explosions.
    - In the dumpster, you can look at two pages of the book: page 728 talks about sardines and Captain Fyodor Ferkaktovich, and page 926 talks about Jasperanta Hyena Portocalemolyptus and giant hot dogs (and 26 counties).
    - Also in the dumpster, you can look at the sweater and see that it has a knife hole in the back.

    However, none of this is getting me anywhere.

    Hint to anyone still stuck in the basement: the Tab key works. Doesn’t get you anywhere far, but at least you should be able to get out of the basement.

    I’m having a similar issue as treeld. I did the gears puzzle, and now the “BIG BOOM” button appears every couple of seconds. I guess I should start over..

    Oh, sweet. It fixed itself. When I tried to restart, it gave me the option to continue from where I was, and now I’m not having that issue anymore. Try it!

    The code is 10347. Why the #%@$#!, you ask? Well, start with the code on the back of the business card:
    01582
    Now, we need to find a substitution for every digit. So:

    - 5 becomes 3 per the story snippet in the doghouse.
    - 8 becomes 4 per the crossed-out phone number on the misspelled sign.
    - The only code-like thing with a 2 is the 27 written underneath the Tim + Olivia graffiti, so I guess 2 becomes 7.
    - The snippet you find in the hole in the wall says 1=0. So the 0 becomes a 1 and the 1 becomes a 0.

    Aaaack! There’s more of this game!!!

    Ferkakta was founded by Fyodor Ferkaktovich.

    I don’t understand the safe in Fortunato/Lagostino’s office.
    Floor 3– Confused about code for machine that talks about its personal life. Tried code for entering building, tried code from habibi’s office… nothing worked.

    There are apparently people who’ve beaten it on Nordinho, but nobody has posted a walkthrough. Also, it seems that this is not actually a new game – it was first released in 2006.

    @bmic: there’s no inventory, so no picking up objects. You basically need to keep copious notes. And the goal is to figure out what happened to the missing bloggers, I guess.

    I’m in the sewers, but I can’t figure them out – some of the passages seem like a topologic impossibility, i.e. if you go back, you get to a different place than you started from.

    (Backtracking a bit) The 3rd floor code is Show

    given by the hint in Fortuno’s safe. To open the safe, follow the flashing pattern. (It’s not timed or anything, so it’s not as impossible as it seems at first.)

    Hint: start on the lower right.

    Solution: if you label the squares as
        a b c d
        e f g h
    then the order is h, b, e, d, g, a, f, c.

    FINALLY! I’m out!

    I never did map the sewers, but didn’t really need to – Show

    there’s no codes or things to find in the sewers, so just find the ladder and go up.

    Go forward until you see “this sewer sucks”, turn left, go forward until you see rubber ducky, turn right, go forward until you see a blank wall, turn around until you see ladder. I think. (At some point you pass a red boat that says “Theodore Tugboat”. If you see a dead rat, you took a wrong turn.)

    At the top of the ladder, Show

    use the code from Ahn V. Cho’s office (that’s what the initials AVC on the left are trying to indicate). The code is just every number in the story, in the order they occur. Don’t forget to include the 1.

    If you need more hand-holding than that, the code is 24817.

    Once you’re in Show

    the Noodlehill Industries building, the code to the flag puzzle is in the dorm room – the door on the left when you’re looking at three green doors. Check at the foot of each bed until you find it.

    Hint: the X on the front of the note is part of the code (it’s the pattern of filled squares).

    When you open the control panel, the flags are:
    Fifi (yellow & purple on top, pink on bottom) — Moses (quarterly orange, green, blue, white)
    Fortuno (fuchsia/green) — Tech support (sky blue over white)
    Viola (yellow over red) — Mojo (olive | orange)
    Ahn (green on top, red-orange and gold on bottom) — Impedimenta (ecru\pink)

    (The flags can be found in the FCS offices. If you didn’t write them down, you can actually find your way back through the sewers and go back up to the conference room, but it might be easier to just open another instance of the game in a new window. Of course that means doing the stupid gears puzzle again.)

    “Alpha dog leads the pack”
    Alpha dog is Impedimenta – remember the picture of a dog in her office? The “lead” square in a 4×4 ‘X’ pattern is gonna be one of the top corners, I think.

    “Vikhram follows three paces behind”
    Tech support is Vikhram – remember the username on the computer? Three paces translates to 3 spaces, which means one of the (other) corners.

    “Moses and Mojo keep their heads down as Fortuno and Viola sniff their butts”
    So F & V will be behind M & M, probably in the order listed here. The only way to do that in our X pattern is to put these four in the middle 2×2 space.

    “Ahn and Fifi guard the flanks”
    So A & F will be toward the back and/or the sides, so I’m thinking bottom two corners. This leaves top two corners for Impedimenta and Vikhram, and of those I’d say top left is the lead square.

    Putting it all together, the pattern is:
    Im. – blank – blank – Vik.
    blank – Mos. – Moj. – blank
    blank – For. – Vio. – blank
    Ahn – blank – blank – Fifi

    Not so much a walkthrough, just a guide…

    General hint: Show

    Read every bit of text you can find. Keep notes. Draw maps. Have I mentioned “keep notes”? There are LOTS of red herrings, but you really can’t tell which bits are useless and which will be needed, so just write down everything.

    Remember that there’s no inventory, so forget about combining items. It’s all about information,

    Start: Show

    No, the game’s not broken, turn on the light. (Use Tab if you can’t find the spot.)

    Getting out of the basement: Show

    There’s a clickable spot on the wall above the box. Click on the left of the rotated brick to see a gear puzzle. It’s just trial-and-error, but if you drag a gear over the correct spot, it’ll “jump” – sort of like there’s a magnet somewhere. Once you get the gears rotating, back out twice, then hit the red button that appears. Turn … right? I think, until you see the ladder.

    Alleys: See post #26 above.

    1st code box: see post #27.

    Reception room (blue & red): See post #28.

    In the offices: Show

    Don’t forget to go to the basement & the roof. Explore every office that’s open; don’t worry about the ones that are locked. Use Tab to make sure you’ve looked at everything. Keep notes, especially of the rectangular flag-thingies.

    As far as I can tell, the following are red herrings: Show

    - The suggestion box (I did open it, but I can’t find where I wrote down the solution)
    - The password to the computer (but do note the username)

    Conference room code: Show

    You’ve had it a while now – remember that maze you solved?

    drag the matches to the candle to light it. Then you can go in the hole. Keep looking for the clickable spot to continue down into the sewers.
