   It all went swimmingly until the last code, for which either the hint is wrong, or it’s much more obscure than I can make out. Show

   There’s an “=3″ inside a pentagon, and then a sequence of numbers 9-6-12-10. To me, this implies that we are to subtract 2 from each number in the sequence (5–2=3), which obviously doesn’t work, because it results in a 5-digit number (74108). Through trial and error, subtracting 3 from each number (6397) is what works.

   Also, I looked as hard as I could, but ended up with only 99 coins. Oh, well.
