After Tropicool, here is Sunflow, the latest Room Escape game from Tomatea.

I always enjoy these, nice logical games.
This isn’t a step-by-step walkthrough, because Tomatea’s games are well-designed enough to deserve your best efforts. Instead, this is a “where to find stuff” listing, more or less in the order you need them. To actually get out, you’ll need to use all the basic room-escaping skills, such as examining everything in the room and everything you pick up.
green flower: behind pillow on couch
4×4 puzzle clue: picture above couch (look at the leaves)
Sunflower clue: look at 4 sunflower pictures. Note colors; note location of key shadow
steps: in bench next to door
2-button code clue: open the bench
gear: behind 4×4 puzzle
O: behind 2-button code
key to b&w picture: above window (open steps, then put them under window)
cardboard sun: behind b&w picture
memo: behind b&w picture
yellow flower: behind 2-button code
screwdriver: behind 2-button code
W: behind 2-button code
square color clue: behind 2-button code
gear puzzle step 1: use screwdriver to remove panel
4-symbol puzzle: combine b&w picture and square color clue
winding key: behind 4-symbol puzzle
yellow flower: behind 4-symbol puzzle
Z: behind 4-symbol puzzle
gear puzzle step 2: put winding key into bird figure (to the left of the bench); put gear into dish in front of bird figure; wind key so that bird pecks a hole in the middle of the gear
gear puzzle clue: press snooze button on alarm clock (to the right of couch)
gear puzzle step 3: put 3rd gear in place; use gear puzzle clue to rotate the gears
O: behind gear puzzle
cardboard seed: behind gear puzzle
4-letter code: combine memo and location of letters (the numbers are degrees to rotate; the shapes help orient the memo to the room)
red flower: behind 4-letter code
4-digit code: use sunflower picture clue to hang paper flowers in window, then check out the shadows under the pictures. If it doesn’t seem to work, remember the location of the key’s shadow.
cardboard cloud: behind 4-digit code
Cardboard puzzle: look at the white box with the picture of green hills. Put the sun on the left, the cloud on the right, and the seed in the middle. Use the knobs under the picture to water the seed, then give it sunlight.
Door key: behind cardboard puzzle
Not too difficult, but requires careful observation, and some thought. Managed on my own. Excellent game!
indeed, i figured out the clues for left-right button and 4×4 buttons trial and error by myself, since there’s no clue at all, lol..
but it’s still nice to have logical game like this :D
Left/Right button clue Show
was inside the lid of the chest, combine that with the positions of the green and blue flower pics on the wall.
4×4 button clue Show
was the portrait above the sofa, note the position of the leaves.
Or atleast thats what worked for me.
Lizzy, for the 4×4 buttons, Show
the picture above the couch is only one part of the clue – it tells you which buttons are type “A” and which buttons are type “B”. What we don’t know is how to translate “A” and “B” to “black” and “white”.
Also, I’m not quite satisfied with the Show
left/right buttons being related to the sunflower pictures. There are four pictures and only two buttons, so to me, it’s just coincidence that the picture arrangement matches the button arrangement. I mean, if I really wanted to, I could say that blue = left because it occurs first in the sequence, and we read from left to right.
that’s what i tried to say before.. lol
how do we know exactly that a=black, b=white vice versa, and blue=left, pink=right.. i think it’s our experience on solving lots of room escape games before that helps us here.. but for the novice who plays this game for the first time, i think they will have difficulties in understanding those clues anyway.. :D
