Federico Rutenberg, the author of the Esklavos, Doctor Ku and Ketinetto series has released a new installment in the Alkirian series, Ashes of Alkirian!

“After constant siege of the Krenur Empire, cities of Alkirian were reduced to ashes.

A few group of survivors were clustered in a small village, the Totem village…

You are an apprentice of Protector, and you have to find the hammer of faith to rebuild the city of Alkirian.”

Not one of their better games but doable. I don’t care for speed clicking.

Walkthrough…

Navigation is a bit tricky at times…

1. Show

Go to the right by clicking the upper right corner. Get the small fire stones of the rocks on the far right side. Go back to the first scene and then down. You should see a skeleton guard.

2. Show

Get some bark from the palm tree on the left. Click between the palm trees on the right path. Get the dried fruit from the top of the tree on the left. On the bottom of the screen between the trees is a wild plant. Get that. Now combine the plant with bark, then combine the fire stones to make a smoke bomb. Use the smoke bomb on the wild dog. Go into the cave.

3. Show

Get the rod just to the right of the spider. Click on the small rocks on the lower right and get a key. Go back to the beach and use the key on the small box. You will get one of the missing pages of the book. You don’t need to open the chest to win the game but I think there is a gem in it for something later or an alternate ending. Don’t know right now.

4. Show

Put the page in the book and it will tell you where the second page is after you click again and read it. It’s in the tile on the left by the palm tree in the scene where the skeleton guard is. Put that into the book and it will give you the next clue.

This is the part I don’t like.

5. Show

Now comes the hard part. Combine the dried fruit with the rod. You have to play a song. The clue gives you the order. Use the stick on the skull, leg, helmet, sword, chest, skull, leg, helmet, arm, helmet. You have to do this without hesitation. If you don’t get the right tempo or miss one spot, it wont work. Once you get past this part. Get the ring that the spider was standing on. Give it to the skeleton guard

6. Show

Click on the placard and it will tell you what to put into the sacred vessel. Get the star fish next to the boat, then get the flowers next to the cave, get a page from the book. Put the starfish, flowers, page from book, and the finger bones into the vessel. The hammer will fall. Give the hammer to the guy on the beach. Game ends.

There maybe more to it, but that should get you through.

  Warning! The order of the music part seems to change each time you play! Drove me nuts when I tried to do it again with the same order.

    I tried to use the hammer on the locked chest but that didn’t work. That must be something they will open up later or there is a key somewhere that I can’t find. Just hit the notes in order of the book. Like I said, it changes each time you play. The last time I played it, I didn’t have to hit them fast. Just in the correct order.

A lot easier than I expect, but as above, nice to see a Rutenberg game. I mostly don’t get how it goes with the other Alkirian ones where they are collecting items.
