Some hints:

Blue key: Show

middle of sofa.

Use mallet on Show

safe above sofa.

To get the green ball: Show

there’s a stick to the right of the red key cabinet.

Where to use the crowbar: Show

click on low shelf below puzzle box to get at a vent.

Hint on order of balls: Show

turn off lights and zoom on picture, but the order that you see is not the correct order. The pattern in the picture must be a hint, but I don’t understand it. The same (wrong) pattern shows up when you zoom on the TV with the lights off.

Order of balls (found by trial & error): Show

Explanation of the pattern in the notebook: Show

Top row: shift 1 square to the left. Bottom row: shift 1 square to the right. Middle 3×3 squares: rotate the pattern 90 degrees clockwise.

the pattern shows you how to switch the balls: follow the lines upward from each ball changing direction each time you cross another line

  Think of the colors as moving up the vertical lines. When two colors reach a horizontal line, they switch places. The first pair to switch are Y and G. At the next horizontal line, B and G switch. Then B and Y switch, and so do G and R. Next, R and Y switch, and at the top 2 horizontal lines, G and Y switch, and so do R and B.

Or, you can count the number of horizontal branches off of each vertical line, and the ball order is from highest to lowest.
