I need help getting past Jewel Quest Level 1-1, Researcher. I have tried dozens of times with no results. Is there a trick to this?
you have to turn each square gold.
Wish I knew. I have won the whole game once and I remember that I felt extremely lucky to get past level 1-1 puzzle. I tried to play it like chess – always looking for the move after the one I was doing. Also found that I last longer if I work from the top down. I’ve gotten close but haven’t won it yet this time around.
My son who is studying game design says you just have to get lucky – it’s a poor design.
And James – you’re no help. Anyone who is on Researcher level knows you turn the squares to gold.
can someone tell me if the story goes on past the first difficulty? I played almost an entire difficulty through after the first and rupert pretty much hasnt done anything but make quotes.
I hate this game. On Reasearcher level 8 and I have replayed and replayed. And I cant get past level 8. If I finally win I will break the game CD.
I hate this game. Finally made to level 9. I will not waste my life on this game any more. I have been trying to win this game for 2 years now. I would not recommend this game to anyone. Save you sanity and do not buy it. I am unistalling this game and throwing away the cd.
Ok, I have won this game several times and have found that you must continue on with play when finishing the level just before researcher without stopping in order to win level 1-1.
In the past this has worked, however, this time, I could not move on and have been stuck there for several months.
Also, sometimes, if you start a new game under another name, when you come to a level with the easier board that is like researcher 1-1 (same config and # of squares), change back to the hard one and try that one again.
If anyone else has an answer, please let me know. I bought my game and have the disc. I do not play on line.
