   Ooh, looks like I’m first.

   And ready with the walkthrough, too:

   It’s another relentlessly hot summer day. You’re hungry, but you want something light, something that won’t make you feel full and tired.

   Show

   You pass an open door and catch the sweet scent of rice cooking. Your stomach rumbles. You walk inside, tentatively, to investigate, and find yourself trapped in a bunker with low, concrete walls. You try the door. It’s secure, but there’s a combination lock. You realize you had better find the combination.

   You look around the room. There’s a book with blank pages on the floor. You detect the faint smell of invisible ink. Maybe finding a lemon, or some other citric agent is the key to reading what might be an important clue.

   There’s a heating vent in the corner. You look more closely, but it’s too dark to see very far.

   You move to the right, where there’s a red chair and a black chair around a table.

   You look under the red chair and pick up a small Brush. Surely that will help with the book. On top of the chair, on the left armrest, there’s a patch that looks like it was hastily sewn on. You think to yourself that it would be nice to find something to cut open that patch.

   Under the black chair, you find a little Red Key. You linger for a little while longer, trying to peer behind the furniture and in the cushions, but there’s nothing to see.

   You move again to the right, where there’s a bookshelf and a small bureau with three colored locks. You take a Bowl of Rice from the bottom shelf. It smells wonderful, but it’s not yet time to eat.

   Looking behind the bookshelf on the left side, you find a second Bowl of Rice. And underneath the small bureau, you pick up a pair of Tweezers. Can you eat the rice using the tweezers? Apparently not. You’ll need to find chopsticks later.

   You use the Red Key to unlock the drawer with the red keyhole. Inside, a third Bowl of Rice and a Crowbar. You’re assembling quite a toolkit.

   You move once more to the right.

   Now you’re facing an entertainment center with a television, and a large coffee table. You look behind the entertainment center on the left side, and find a fourth Bowl of Rice. At least you won’t be hungry for a while.

   You look closely at the television, but can’t find a way to turn it on.

   On the bottom of the entertainment center, you see a row of drawers. The left-most drawer has an unusual handle. You play with the handle a little and realize the center is loose. Taking the Tweezers, you extract, of all things, a Pencil.

   A Pencil!! This is exciting. You have a Pencil, and a blank book to draw in. You rush to the right, pick up the book, and begin scribbling. Inspired, you create a picture of a man with a crew cut. He’s a rather homely man, but he looks like he’s hiding something important.

   You go back to the left.

   There’s a small black box on top of the coffee table. It has tiles with a design. You decide to arrange the tiles, and you quickly form the same picture, upside-down, of the man you just drew. You press the black button at the bottom of the box, and it opens, revealing a Yellow Key.

   Moving back to the left, you open the drawer with the yellow keyhole with your Yellow Key. You’re not surprised to find a fifth Bowl of Rice. There’s also a small cup with a mysterious blue liquid inside.

   The cup is securely attached to the inside of the drawer. You pull on it for a while, but get nowhere. You take your Crowbar out and hack away at the cup, but it still won’t move. Finally, you dip your Brush inside the liquid, get it thoroughly wet, and walk away.

   Going right twice to face the front door, you look at the empty book with your drawing. You take your Brush and smear the mysterious liquid all over the pages. Yes, the liquid reveals the invisible ink. You see a design with two black arrows forming a circle, as if you’re being instructed to turn a screw clockwise.

   All this has been a lot of fun, but you’re no closer to finding your way out of the room. You look at the heating grate again, take your Crowbar, and yank the grate off the wall. You’re rewarded with a small yellow Box Cutter.

   Moving to the right, you take another look at that small patch on the arm of the red chair. Using the Box Cutter, you carefully remove the patch, and you reveal a Blue Key.

   Going again to the right, you use the Blue Key to open the drawer with the blue keyhole. Inside the drawer, you find a Remote Controller that’s sure to be useful with the television. Now you’re getting somewhere.

   You move right again and look closely at the television. Pointing the Remote Controller at the infrared square at the bottom right of the screen, you turn the television on, and see four colored designs.

   You puzzle at the designs for a minute. But then you remember the figure you revealed with the blue liquid. You’re going to have to turn around two pieces of each design.

   You start with the green design on the right side. Rotating the top piece in your mind, you connect it with the bar in the middle. You do the same with the bottom piece. There’s a 9.

   With the blue design, you create an 8. With the yellow design, you create a 5, and with the red design, you have what looks like a backward 3. That’s puzzling. But at least it’s a combination.

   You move to the right and look at the combination lock on the door. You decide to try 3589, but it doesn’t work. Still, the 3 was upside-down or backward. Maybe the whole combination is upside-down. That would give you 6853. You try that number, but it doesn’t work, either. This is a lot harder than you had thought.

   Show

   Well, maybe everything is backward in this combination. On a whim, you try reversing the upside-down combination, and enter 3586. Pressing the red button, you hear a click and the button turns yellow. Success! You try the door handle and you’re quickly outside the room.

   Now it’s time to eat your rice and enjoy the hot summer day.

   Understanding the code:
   Show

   Imagine flipping the top and bottom part of each figure 180 degrees around a horizontal axis. You get 3 2 8 and the mirror image of 9. Now, take each figure, turn it upsidedown and view its mirror image. You get
   3–>3, 2–>5, 8–>8, mirror 9 –> 6, so it’s 3586.

    Anemic, your walkthrough is once again better than playing the game. :)

    One note about the code: Show

    The black and white arrow thing is trying to tell you to move pieces that way, but without rotating the pieces themselves. So in each number, the middle bar stays in place, and you simply switch the top and bottom pieces.

    So, numbering the rows for clarity,

    becomes

    i am so glad you all are smarter than i am, lol. I got everything and turned the tv on but still don’t understand flip flopping it or how you see numbers. Thanks to all for you help, once again.
