Donna J @ 42, I have the same problem – in the play window, bottom frame there is an “menu/pause” button that shows a window displaying “quit/save”. However, even when I use this button the career game will not save if I exit build-a-lot, it will only save while I am still within the program.
What can I do??!!
Beat em all. Utilize your banks and add the investor. give’s you 15% interest. It’ll help you beat the money levels. then, if needed, demolish it at the end.

i play build a lot 3 im stuck on level 39 …. but the levels before it i completed by building a workishop buying 2 workers after its finished then build a hacienda upgrade it as much as you can paint it and inspect it then sell it from there you buy the efficency workers and build 2 castles and sell them fully upgraded sell them and you have all the money you need to get off to a good start that got me threw almost every level in the after you draft the blue print for the castle

HELP HELP OM BUILDT IT IN EUROPE 35 …i HAVE WORKED ON THIS FOR A WEEK READY TO DELETE THE GAME ….i have tried everything u say here building workshop and sawmill sellling biggest houe building banks can never have a enough money to but the hose ..have tried deleting the ones in brgining that are in bad shape ..have tried to extra banks but id u do that u have no way to build houses as no vaccant lots ….or enogh maney to keep buying or selling ..I AM READY TO DELETE THE GAME AS I HAVE BEEN ON THIS LEVEL A WEEK ..never had that before ……IT IS NO LONGER FUN …CAN SOME ONE GUIDE ME THRU THIS LEVEL BEFORE I DELETE IT ! I AM NOT A CHILD I AM AN ADULT with a rather high IQ BUT not for this level YOU need 100 apperence 300,000 rent and 4 services seems INPOSIBLE TO ME any advice ..i have read many posts but i still can not get it to work ……….please help

My laptop also overheats. To prevent major set-backs, you can do the following:
At the start of each new level, click on “Menu/Pause” in the bottom right hand corner. Select “Quit/Save” then choose “Quit to Main Menu”.
It’s kind-of a hassel, but saves time if your computer shuts down without warning.

stuck on level 42 , I have tried many different ways to finish it but runs out of time , can someone help me get off this level been on it for 2 weeks and still can’t get off of it , getting ready to uninstall the program :(
For rounds that require high rent or high money in your wallet, one of d good tactics is to build sawmill ( this reduce 50% meterial price ) and workshop first, then buy material, 4 workers to build 2 – 3 chateaus. Then when u think u can pay 75.000 $, buy the efficient workers. This should work well with the levels wich has lots of houses. If you have some problems with your start money that u can’t build both sawmill and workshops at the same time, try to build some houses like dormers ( need 5 workers only! ) then sell them to get money.
I am so stuck on level 39. I have to have 16 painted chalets, which is every lot and 12 million dollars. It only starts me out with one empty lot, 2,000 materials, 5 workers, and $100,000. I am going insane! I have been trying to beat this one for days. Please help me! Edit:****
As for you other people who are stuck on levels below 39, all you have to do is buy enough workers right from the start to build a bigger house….do not upgrade it at all just sell it and continue to do that. That’s how I beat levels 33-38. Hope this helps and hope someone can help me.
the only way to get the money is to build chateus then when your money is high enough demolish the lot and quickly build chalets
Level 39 is easy. First build a dormer, sell it, then build a workshop, buy 500 in lumber, then build ur sawmill. only purchase enough to builders to give u nine in all for now. then buy only 2500 in lumber. build a chateau and sell it. I try to keep my workshop and sawmill by themselves. as soon as u can build a BANK off by itself. I build nothing but chateaus and make them 3 stars until my money gets to about 8 million, then I start demolishing my chateaus and building my chalets. I only paint my chalets tho. I demolish my sawmill, then my bank and my workshop is last. i always get expert on it. Need anymore help, email me at [email protected]
Oh I forget I end up with about 30 workers. After I sell my first chateau, I start buying workers.

I’m stuck on level 41. I don’t see how I can have 2 services, 1 tower clock, 11 houses painted white and a rent two empty spots and still get a monthly income of 300,000! I can’t build a chateau because then I have to buy 4 workers at 90K and all I have to start is 100K, and would need to have 2500 in materials and I only have 1000… I tried everything and my rent income is not even 100K! Help!!!
build hacienda and sell it. then buy more workers and more materials and build chateau, then sell it. make sure you have warehouse, and sawmills too

Debbie, you’re a God-send! I had expert on every level except 39. Your instructions were simple but so effective.
I never realized the power of the BANK!! Of course, now I realize the error of my ways. The more money you make, the more interest it gives you. Genius! It definitely solves the problem of continuing to make money while having your rent significantly decreased when you are forced to tear down the chateaus to start building chalets. Thanks so much; it was driving me nuts!

I have been working on level 38 for several days. I have built 14 chateau but it doesn’t give me the credit . Do you have to paint and landscape them? I built a sawmill, workplant with the efficiency. Does any one know what I should do?
Okay, so I’ve finished all levels and finished to Expert status, yet I have some achievements yet to complete. Can anyone tell me how to complete the ‘welcome to [country]’ achievements? I just don’t know what you have to do to get them.
