Interview Room Escape is a very nice looking Japanese Room Escape game, in which you find yourself locked in an interview Room. Look around, collect items that you can use and eventually escape from this interview room!

If you like games from IDAC or from Neutral, you will certainly like this one!

Unfortunately, it is all written in Japanese and you will have to be – VERY – patient while the game is loading (over 9Mb)…

found a helmet, with something written on the side, a sigarette, a paint with night sky, a panel with japanese written, a no. 8. If you shake the plant a leaf falls, you find button to stop fan. In fan a key

found other 3 helmets, 3 cards (it wasn’t n.8, just panels to put on panel on door and insert the right digits in it, found plenty of other panels, but to many and all in japanese!! I get lost!!

A screwdriver
Some kind of schedule?
A holder that was around the schedule

Played some small puzzles, but now I don’t know what to do anymore.

I found (I don’t remember where) a sticker which looks like the one on the side of helmets.
Once you have got 4 helmets with stickers you have to replace them in the rack in the appropriate place : match name under each helmet placement and the one on the sticker…
This will open a puzzle frame under “guy with the boxes” picture on the left of the helmet rack
Once you have solved this puzzle, you’ll get a key used to open the left drawer under the helmet rack

I am here but I was about to quit… getting mad with japanese! Where did you find the second key (not the one on the fan)? Do you think we can take the metal bar (hanging bar)? I want to open that glass panel to take objects!!

On the cupboard under the helmets, you see left some frame with certificates. You can look behind the certificates. What you see, you can use for the puzzle on the right of the cupboard. It will open a drawer with something and I don’t know what to do with that.

Hi all

What a great game – love it!

I think I have everything to get out but need help with placing the door code. I have 5 digits and it looks like we need 6 digits. I’m going to have a look on another site for help! A bit gutted as I’ve done so well on my own! I’ll be back!

There’s been so much going on in this game, I can’t remember all the steps and would have to go through it again to give a lot of help. It’s not a difficult game but there is a lot to it.
Whoever is brave enough to write a walkthrough will be writing for hours!

Have you reorganised the “Health & Safety” board on the right of the cabinet according to the picture under the photo on the left of the cabinet? You need to get the first 4 panels to look (roughly) like the picture and the last 2 panels you’ll have to guess! When you get it right there is a cut scene and it opens something – can’t remember what now!

I can’t remember what activates the glass door which houses the clock, broom and safety signs etc. However, once it’s open you can open the clock using the screwdriver – you need to zoom in on clock and click the bottom edge. Once open you can remove the clock face and reveal a light. Then take the broom and hang it in the tall locker. You can now open secret panel on the left inside locker. Take the sign you find there and put it in the base where the broom was. You need to click the silver coloured things around the hole first. Then turn off room light to find a secret panel. Put light back on and then open panel.

Walkthrough so far:

– Pick up helmet on table
– Pick up star paper under right sofa cushion
– Pick up number card under left sofa cushion
– Go to posters above left sofa
– Click on right corner of bottom poster to pick up helmet sticker
– Click plant beside sofa until leaf falls. Click the blue switch to turn off the fan
– Go to fan and pick up key
– Click on photo frame to see pictures below
– Arrange the sections on the right side of cabinet based on one of the pictures (card with most green, card with yellow, clock, calendar, colorful icons, japanese words)
– Now you can open the drawers below
– Pick up number card and helmet
– Click to right of drawers to pick up fire extinguisher
– Use key from fan to open locker
– Pick up last helmet
– Go back to helmet rack
– One of the helmets doesnâ€™t have a sticker. Zoom in and paste the sticker you picked up
– Arrange the helmets based on the names on the rack
– Solve slider puzzle to get key
– Picture in slider puzzle shows screwdriver on right leg of table between sofas
– Use key to open left drawers in cabinet
– Pick up extinguisher stand, click again to get key under drawer â€˜baseâ€™
– Use key on middle of cabinets
– Pick up valve, transparency roll, temperature sensor, yellow tag
– Select yellow tag, press red button, then the red character. It will turn around to a blue character. Click behind to see 39 degrees
– Go to yellow box on floor beside floor. Put fire extinguisher and stand there
– Pick up green key hanging from the sign
– Go to pipes in wall. Temperature sensor appears. Click red button to turn it on
– Use green key on red lock on 3rd pipe from left. Pick up red thing, open it to get number card inside
– Put valve onto 2nd pipe
– Adjust the pipe flows until you get 39 degrees
– Go back to middle of cabinet and turn the valve. It should say READY and open the left bottom drawer
– Put temperature sensor and yellow tag into bottom drawer. Click key to turn and open the glass display
– Go to red box, pick up lighter and transparency roll inside
– Pick up number card under no smoking stand
– Collect broom
– Zoom into broom stand and collect number card
– Pick up number card on left light from roof
– Hang broom in locker and open secret panel on left of locker. Pick up signboard
– Go back to broom stand. With signboard selected, click the metal pieces and they will rotate until you can put your signboard there
– Click on clock and use screwdriver on bottom. Clock turns into spotlight
– Turn off light in room, go left and see lighted spot on floor
– Turn on light again and go to the spot and pick up transparency roll
– Pick up clipboard on right side of locker
– Select clipboard, open it by clicking the flaps on the bottom of the clipboard, remove paper inside
– Unroll transparency and put all inside to see (square + triangle x circle â€“ Star)
– Select paper inside and use star paper on it to get star number
– Triangle number is inside red sign above extinguisher, circle number is below the No Smoking stand, square is on wooden piece on left sofa arm
– Number goes into the door
– Other number cards: gap left of locker, on left sofa, under no smoking card on small table between sofas, behind poster between sofas (NOTE THAT THE POSITIONS OF NUMBER CARDS CHANGE WITH EVERY GAME!!!)
– Put all cards onto door. (21 year 01 month 29 day on top, 4 digit number below)
– Go to right drawer and click red buttons
– When you click the top red button, a pipe appears under the clock. Pick up the pipe.
– Click the bottom red button to open the door

Um, is there something special I need to do to actually “see” the Fire Extinguisher? when I click on the right of the desk all I see if a blank space and the right side of the desk???

ok, the Walkthrough was not correct…at least in my case. The Fire Extinguisher is actually to the left of the Couch on the right. So face the table between the couches, click the couch on the right, then click to it’s left against the wall. You should be looking down between the couch and the wall…and there it is.

There was a guy laughing at me, then I was crouching there clutching my head. In any language, that can’t be good.

I never managed to: Show

-Do anything with the sign I got from the secret panel in the locker.

-Figure out how we’re supposed to know what to do with the shape numbers (I just used the walkthrough, although I hate doing that)

-Ditto for the small numbers on the door: I put in today’s date in big endian notation (090129), but it didn’t seem like the correct number. I mean, the door opened anyway, but when I hit the red button in the drawer, the numbers didn’t disappear, unlike the four-digit number.

-Find out what I was supposed to do with the cigarette. I mean, I ended up smoking it, but that was mostly accidental – I was just trying to figure out something to do.

the whole room becoming smoky, so that you manage to see the second slide under the spotlight

However I still didn’t figure out how to switch on the spotlight…
and the sign will never fit into the broom base, because it doesn’t have a stand.

After I’ve inserted code and date and pushed the upper red bottom in the upper right drawer, a pipe appeared behind the leftest sign, I’ve taken it, I’ve clicked on the door (obviously after I’ve pushed the bottom red button) and I’m out but now a white screen appear!!

For the date:

year – month – day. So 21 (is the 2009 for Japan), month and day change on the basis of the day you are playing the game.
