Phantom Mansion – 5: The Blue Ballroom

The Blue Ballroom is the fifth chapter of the Phantom Mansion series released at Gimme5games.
Help Hector the Spectre Detector make his way through 24 new levels filled with diabolical puzzles using crates, switches and keys to retrieve all the skulls from each chamber.
This fifth chapter is as good as the previous ones and the good news is that there are still three more chapters to come this year!

First Yeah! Wow this is interesting. Like the idea of the motion potion. Really hard.

Arrrrrrrrrrgg!!!! Why did this have to come out now??? I have exams next week :-(
I’m not sure I like the new “potions” conceit, but I must admit that it adds an entirely new dimension.
I do wish they’d re-use the new stuff introduced in previous games, like the teleports from the Orange Library and the magic lamp from the Green Gallery. (The cursed floor + cross from the Yellow Tower is really just another presentation of the same mechanics as switches that make the void go away.)
The last game in the series (Black) will use ALL the objects from the previous 7 games.
It will be very hard!

i really need help with level “remember me” after i go to the path i see with the 3 switches i’m stuck there!i have void all around me, except the path i’m coming from and the square of solid floor, where am i supposed to go?
I disagree Reka, I think that what makes this series so playable is that each new set of levels is an different focus for the puzzle format, the death head and direction potions are a great new element. I think combining all of them would become a little tiresome because it would mean you HAVE to play all the previous levels for it to make sense.That would discourage new players I think. And maybe there will be a combination of stuff in the final set, I bet that would be fiendish >:-)

i like the confusing potion, the hyper one is a little tricky it drives me crazy sometimes, when i go round and round like a rat… can’t wait for the black one, when we’ll burn all the masks

Gah, done them all except for Secret Motive, which is bothering me. I can’t see any way of getting the blue box down to the bottom.

How did you get through that door? I’ve been looking at the situation for the entire day and just can’t figure out how to push the blocks into a position that would help me get down the stairs. There’s no way I can get into that gap between them, or push them both into the corner.
